Christmas Gift Guide - The Candle Edition & Competition

I love a good candle. I'm addicted to them; big, small, soy, wax, I love them all. I think a scented candle really adds to the ambiance of a room and there is something so relaxing about them. A candle, a pair of pj's and a box of chocolates is pretty much my ideal gift.

Candles are so popular and seem to be constantly growing in popularity, especially within the blogging community. I know so many people who are just as obsessed as I am so I decided to put together my favourite candles for Christmas. I hope to give you a little inspiration, whether you are looking to buy a candle as a gift or if you wanted to treat yourself.

1) White Glitter Christmas Tree Candle from Laura Ashley
How beautiful is this candle? It's very chic and I love the glitter. I think it would make a lovely Christmas decoration and I have to admit I wouldn't want to burn it because it's just that pretty. They are currently on sale on the website at £7.00.

2) Sebnini of England - Festive Holly
Here we have a tin candle from Sebnini of England. The scent of this candle is described as Festive Holly and it features hints of bergamont, lemon and lavender. It doesn't scream out "Christmas" to me but I like that, it's a very subtle scent and I know this because it is currently lit beside me. It would make an lovely gift and is just £7.50 from
Potter & Rest.

3) Eika - Rustic Forest Berry
This purple pillar candle is from a brand called Eika and can be bought directly from Potter & Rest for just £4.50. It's called Forest Berry and the scent is just how you would imagine it to be, it's very sweet. With a burn time of 75 hours it's certainly good value for money.

4) Yankee Candle - Christmas Gift Set

Here we have good old Yankee Candle. This gift set would be a welcomed gift to pretty much anyone on your Christmas list this year. It contains three mini candles in the classic scents of; Christmas Eve, Christmas Garland and Sugared Apple. You can find the set online for as little as £15.00 and that's an absolute bargain if you ask me.

5) Home Candy - Snowflake Glass Candle Holder
This candle just screams Christmas with it's delightful snowflake design. It would make a nice stocking filler or gift to someone special this year. It has a very light scent which isn't overpowering at all. This candle costs just £4.50 and 15% of the proceeds are donated to the Snowflake Appeal which raises funds to help support vulnerable children.

6) Paddywax - Boheme
I wouldn't necessarily call this a Christmas candle but I love the look and scent of it that much that I just had to include it on my list. The scent is said to be black coconut and amber and it's possibly one of the best combination I have ever come across, it's divine. Not only that but the candles bowl is very bohemian and stylish, one that can be reused once you have burnt up the last bit of candle. The Boheme candle from Paddywax can be bought directly from Rooi and costs £17.50.

7) Wax Lyrical - Colony - Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh
Last but certainly not least we have the gold, frankincense and myrrh jar candle from Wax Lyrical. I am a huge fan of every candle on my list but this has got to be my favourite for Christmas, it's perfect. It's smells luxurious and very tempting with it's deep blend of vanilla, caramel and white jasmine. With a burn time of roughly 80 hours it's great value for money at £18.00.
