I feel very conflicted when I admit this but here goes. My 15 month old son knows how to use an iPad, there I said it. Half of me feels like a rubbish Mother for letting him mess about with the gadget so much but the other part of me feels slightly proud, how clever is he?! He only really knows how to turn it on and off, he can swipe and press the different apps but he generally just likes to turn the screen on and off, on and off, on and off... you get the picture!
I tend to try to hide most the gadgets when I know Noah is coming into the room because he can get transfixed with them and won't play with his toys or really socalise with anyone (a sign of things to come, I'm sure!) These gadgets don't have to be a phone or a tablet either because anything with buttons is a winner for him. Only the other day he had gotten his sticky mitts on the thermostat and turned the heating on to the highest possible setting! I had only realised when I began to wonder why I felt like I was in a sauna!
We do limit TV and gadget time but there are times when iPad's are a godsend and can make life as a Mummy a lot easier. I will sit Noah in his room with the iPad on his changing unit so he can watch Disney Jnr from time to time. This allows me to grab a quick shower, take the recycling out, give the bathroom a quick clean without the worry.
I usually perch the iPad against the changing unit or his little chair and on occasion it has fallen down and I can hear Noah shout in frustration, no one comes between that kid and Mickey Mouse. When I was offered the chance to review the My Doodles Kids Dock I thought how perfect, just what we need.
My Doodles brings you fab docking station’s in two designs; monkey and owl. We chose the monkey design as it's more suitable for boys and we love monkey's! These docks are perfect for our kids to listen to their favourite music and watch their favourite TV shows. The Kids Dock uses Bluetooth technology so no need for wires and it also charges whilst you watch too!
For more information please visit My Doodles on Facebook which you can find here. They are available to buy on here on Amazon for £69.99.
