Smart Trike Dream 4 in 1 - Stage 1

A couple of months ago Noah was lucky enough to receive a Smart Trike Dream 4 in 1 to review over a period of different age brackets, he was appointed a SmarTriker!

The opportunity came at the perfect time because we were deliberating whether to buy one or not. We were in two minds whether we would use it enough to justify the cost. Well, I will go on to that later but for now let me give you a run down.

The Smart Trike arrived whilst Noah was taking a nap so it was the perfect time for me to set it up and have it ready for when he awoke. You have to assemble to trike yourself and there are quite a lot of pieces but the instructions are clear and easy to read. That being said it did take me a good 45 minutes. I did struggle here and there but that's just down to me being useless at that type of thing.

When I brought Noah downstairs he spotted the Smart Trike right away and ran towards it with the biggest beaming smile on his face. He stood there exploring every nook and cranny, he still enjoys doing that now.

The Smart Trike Dream features-

Patented Swivel wheel for enhanced steering control
Pull-out clutch for freewheeling
Shock absorbing rubber wheels

Tipping Basket
Parent Bag
Washable padded seat cover and safety bar

SmarTrike Dream grows with your child in 4 stages-

Stage 1:
At 10 months baby safely uses foot rest and has a padded high-back support.

Stage 2:
At 18 months the seat converts while parents push and control the trike. Baby enjoys the ride while developing confidence, balance, and motor skills.

Stage 3:
At 24 months it becomes a training trike – kids start learning how to pedal.

Stage 4:
At 30 months: Remove parent handle, rotate the red button and the trike transforms from a stroller to an independent trike that kids pedal by themselves!

I didn't take long for us to go on our first Smart Trike adventure as we took it our for a spin that very afternoon. We live in an area with so many different surfaces, from bumpy cobbles through to grassy hills so I knew our walk would really take the it through it's paces.

At the moment we are enjoying the trike in the stage one setting which is suitable for babies from 10 months old. It has been ideal for Noah and I can see us moving to stage 2 in the next few months.

Pro's -

I love the longevity of this product. It's not a buy that lasts a few weeks and then is never used again. It's something which grows and adapts with your child and for me this is one huge pro!

We've taken the trike on so many different surfaces and it's managed fine. In fact I'm yet to find one it struggles with.

The parent bag on the handle bar is such a fabulous addition. I don't want to be lugging around a handbag or changing bag when taking Noah out on the trike so both the bag and basket are a godsend.

The sun shade is another element that could be overlooked but we've found it ever so useful. Not just to shade your child from the sun but if it starts raining a little too. Which lets face it, happens a lot in England!

Con's -

It can be quite tricky to adjust the height of the handle bar.

It was also a nightmare to lock the pedals when we first set the trike up.

We are all thoroughly enjoying the Smart Trike. Noah absolutely adore's being out and about in it and it's also a joy for us parents to use too. We cannot wait to bring you more posts throughout the year as we move through the different stages.

The SmarTrike Dream 4 in 1 Tricycle retails at around £100 but is competitively priced across the internet. Totally worth the cost in my opinion.

- We was sent this product for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
