3 TV shows I'm loving lately

If you know me in any capacity you will know about my love for American TV shows. One of my favourite things to do is to discover a new show, get hooked and binge watch it. Now that I have a child I can't binge to the level I once could but it doesn't mean I can't squeeze in an hour or two here and there. There's nothing better than curling up on the sofa at night in front of your Panasonic 4K TV with a big bowl of popcorn. The dishes can wait when it's time for binge-a-thon!

Today I thought I'd put together a list of 3 TV shows I've been hooked on lately. This is not to be mistaken by my favourite TV shows of all time as that simply couldn't be narrowed down into 3, a sheer impossibility!

1. Banshee
This is an all time favourite of mine and one of those shows that I can't understand why it's not taken off big time. It's a hidden gem and already a cult classic and grips you from the very first episode. The series has just come to an end, not because of ratings or anything like that but because the writers knew they wanted to keep it short and sweet and not pad out episodes with useless drivel. This makes sure that every episode packs a punch, quite literally. You want to know who Lucas Hood is, you want him to get his well deserved happy ending and if you'd like to know more about it then go and get it watched! You won't regret it!

2. Gilmore Girls
If you've never heard of Gilmore Girls then where have you been the last 16 years? I remember watching quite a lot of episodes back when it first came out but I've never watched it start to finish, cue the marathon klaxon! I'm coming to the end of season two now and I'm thoroughly hooked and can imagine myself to parent just like Lorelai when my kids are of Rory's age. I'm so hooked on this show that just writing this is making me want to close my laptop and put Netflix on. I'm hoping I can get through all seven seasons before the revival is released in November.

3. Outcast
This is a relatively new TV show in comparison to the two above. It's a series based around the comic created by Robert Kirkman, who's also the man behind The Walking Dead. It's features quite a few different genre's but for me it's more horror than anything else because every episode has managed to totally spook me out. It's all about demonic possession and with content like that it's easy to make a show quite cheesy but the directors have done an amazing job of converting it from comic to our screens. I'm really looking forward to season two.

So there you have it, three of my favourite TV shows of the moment. From an action packed thriller, to family drama all the way to straight out horror! You can't say I don't have varied taste!
