A rainy day at the Zoo

We've just got back from a couple of days in London. This was the very first time I've been to our capital so of course it was Noah's first visit also. I was excited but also quite nervous about our trip as I much prefer the quiet of the countryside to the hustle and bustle of city life. That being said it's something I've always wanted to do and as I've mentioned I was looking forward to it also.

We visited London for a particular reason which I'll be blogging about very soon so you'll have to check back in a couple of days time to find out! As part of our special trip to London we had tickets booked to somewhere we've always wanted to visit, London Zoo.

In true British weather style we've had pretty much all weather conditions in the last 48 hours. From sun through to torrential rain and on the day of our visit to the Zoo we of course had the latter, lots and lots of rain! Usually I would avoid going anywhere like this in such weather conditions but having had the tickets pre booked I had little choice and I'm actually really glad that a little bit of rain didn't stop us.

When shopping for clothes I often find myself choosing clothes which are comfortable over the super stylish on trend pieces. My partner is quite similar in that also as he tends to choose men's clothing which is stylish yet practical. We were lucky that the clothes we'd packed for our trip happened to be waterproof or suitable for diverse weather conditions. I've never been so thankful for being the ever so sensible parents when it comes to our fashion choices! We had an amazing time and the next time it rains I'm not going to let it put me off doing what we had planned.

Has the rain ever put you off going ahead with your daily plans?
