Kiddyum Frozen Ready Meals Review & Win a £25 Sainsbury's Gift Card - Competition

We make most of our meals from scratch and really enjoy sitting down with one another for a nice home cooked family meal. That being said there are some times in which we will go for convenience and grab a ready meal so when Kiddyum asked if we'd like to review some of their frozen dishes we were very happy to do so.

Kiddyum make delicious and nutritionally balanced meals for young children between the age of 1-4. With their meals being frozen we were sent vouchers so had to drive over to the nearest Sainsbury's stockist to pick up our samples. Once we go there I decided to pick one of each type; Cottage Pie, Fish and Veg Pie, Macaroni Bolognese, Cheesy Peasy Pasta and Chicken Curry and Rice. I first noted how fantastic the packaging and branding looked and though it was great how each dish in a different colour.

The first Kiddyum meal that Noah tried was the Cheesy Peasy Pasta which I decided to give him for lunch one day. He was smothered in a cold so I though a nice warm pasta dish would be a welcome change from our regular lunches. At first glance I didn't think the dish looked very appealing but I'm not one for cheesy sauces and I'm currently pregnant so my tastes and opinions are a little off at the moment.

The Cheesy Peasy Pasta is made from all natural ingredients and wholewheat macaroni. It's low salt, contains no added sugar, no preservatives, no GM ingredients and lastly no artificial colours of flavours. Reading this on the pack really puts a parents mind at ease and I was more than happy to feed the dish to my son.

When it came down to the taste it couldn't have gone down any better. Noah knew straight away that this was a dish he hadn't tried before so didn't dive in like he usually does but after I explained what it was he got stuck in and cleared the plate! He then went on to tell me that it was yummy and was all in his tummy! I think that means it received a big thumbs up from him!

The second Kiddyum dish that Noah tried was the Cottage Pie which just like the Cheesy Peasy Pasta meal contains all natural ingredients, no added sugar, no preservatives, no GM ingredients and no artificial flavours of colours. I served the meal with a side of vegetables and again Noah cleared the plate, there wasn't a morsel left.

Noah has now tried all five meals from the Kiddyum range and every single he's thoroughly enjoyed. I've always been a bit dubious when it comes to frozen meals both for adults and children but I was so pleasantly surprised by Kiddyum and would certainly buy them again. They are ideal for a quick lunch or dinner when you're in a bit of a rush and the fact that they are nutritionally balanced and contain nothing artificial makes them a real winner for us.

Now for the competition! I've teamed up with Kiddyum to give away a £25 Sainsbury's voucher to one lucky winner! To enter all you need to do is use the Gleam form below. Good luck and don't forget to enter my other blog competitions!
