May has dawned and has brought with it some welcomed sunshine and we've been enjoying it as much as we can. On Sunday we took a trip to the fair with family which we tend to do every year, it's a little tradition of ours. Noah loved the bouncy castles and trampolines more than the rides this year, I love watching him bounce about on them. On Monday it was a bank holiday so Nick was off work so we had a nice family walk around the nature reserve which is such a beautiful place. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday was back to routine as Noah had nursery in the afternoons and he had a couple of play dates too. On Thursday after nursery we had to take Ava for her 8 week check and her immunisations, which every parent dreads and they never get any easier. She passed her checks with flying colours and had a great weight gain too which I was so pleased about. She took her immunisations as well as she could and didn't have any fever following them, so glad those are out of the way for now. Friday and Saturday we took it easy and stayed at home and visited family as we go on holiday next weekend.

What have you been up to this week?

  2. We have a friend's budgie staying with us. Whilst his owners are on holiday. It is nice having a pet with us. We both grew up with pets. Though I am used to budgies my fiancé has little experience of them, just when visiting an aviary or when visiting my my who has a budgie. Good fun, as he chirps, mimics his toy bell (and realistically), climbs around his cage etc. I have let him out to stretch his wings and fly which he does for a short time. He likes to walk about as well. His owner did tell me she does interact with him using his toys and chatting whilst he walks along the floor. He is a lovely character and a beautiful bird. Will be all too soon that his owners return to collect him.

  3. 30th April 2017 Looks like Noah is having fun. Always nice to get the children out and involved in activities etc. My Great - Nephew really enjoys being taken to a local establishment which has bouncy castle, slides etc. His uncle treats him to a day out there on occasions, when no work commitments etc. Little one will tell us he had fun, but why does it have to close. I tell him staff have to go home for their evening meal ( just like he goes to Gran's or home for his meal) and then they go to bed to rest and sleep just like he does. He seems to have accepted these reasons, as prior to them he seemed so truly disappointed at his day of fun at the establishment ending. He knows he should be able to go / be taken there on other occasions. His parents take him there also, and sometimes meet up with friends, as there is a refreshments area there too.

  5. 6th May 2017. Bonnie Baby. Lovely picture of Ava. Nice and restful. Yet looks like she has been dressed for an outing. Always good to get a chance to catch up on some well needed rest and relaxation.

  7. Aww look at Ava, she looks so little, her hair has gone lighter too, my oldest was born with black hair then it grew out blonde, sounds like a fun week, apart from the immunisations of course, I hate them too but they are to keep them well so worth doing, we found out at Mollies 8 week check she had a heart murmur, she has since had checks and luckily it is an innocent murmur, but waiting for months to find out was scary xxx
