Living Arrows #21 - Sunny Days & Spring Fairs

It's been a while since I last published a Living Arrows post, so to make up for it I decided to choose a couple of shots taken at the spring fair a few weeks ago. I had intended to post them sooner, better late than never! The kids always enjoy going to the fair and it's become a yearly tradition of ours. Their Great Grandad visited in the morning we planned to go and kindly gave them both £10 in £2 coins for rides, they were ever so excited! Here are a couple of my favourite photos of the day.

  7. Great Grand-Dad, a kind gentleman. Seems older generations have such delightful morals, respectful tendencies and great empathy. This may be why some cultures love, appreciate, regard, respect, honour their elders, older relatives, parents, grandparents, etc.

Hoping Great Grand - Dad has his expression of love and kindness reciprocated. Let him know I for one, appreciate his act of kindness. His pleasure, and reward has likely been through his thoughts of the children having fun, a happy day out. Likely remembering his own younger years, and any fun and adventures he enjoyed. Treasure!

  9. Nice to see your two enjoying a day out together. Wonder how this will be in the future. Having watched Planet Child on tv ( a very interesting, as well as entertaining series) :- The day out is gender neutral. Have we more gender neutral activities / environments, more inclusiveness, etc than previous years / previous generations. Or as children age is there a tendency to fall / fit into particular gender roles / activities / etc.

Fun is fun, and it is great to share experiences. Wonderful memories for the future.

  11. Tights :- Sometimes not great at staying up, and children are so active. What I've done at time is put pair of pants / knickers on over the tights. Can be more comfortable for child, and avoids frequent repositioning / pulling up of tights.

  18. My kids are to old to enjoy this kind of day out now. My eldest gave birth to my first grandchild last year so I can't wait to be able to do all of this with him.
    Lovely pics by the way.
