DreamWorks Dragons Hatching Interactive Baby Dragon Toothless - Review

AD & - We were sent this product for the purpose of this review.

Noah has been a fan of How To Train Your Dragon for the past few years, he enjoys the movies and the TV show, and has reviewed a couple of the branded toys too. He's always excited to see what they'll release next and his delivery last week didn't disappoint.

Perfect for How To Train Your Dragon fans, just like Noah - you can now hatch and train your very own baby dragon Toothless! Children can become BFFs with Hatching Toothless and teach him how to fly, plasma blast, and can feed him and play games with him too.

The egg is large and very impressive, according to Noah it looks just like a real-life dragon egg! To start the hatching process you twist off the toggles on the underside and tap and shake the egg until he is ready to hatch.

The hatching process itself is so much fun and very engaging. Before Toothless starts to hatch you are able to play with him whilst he's still inside. Simply tap on the egg to hear him tap back and shake or hold the egg upside down to make him angry. Once he's angry enough he'll start to break through the top of the egg - Noah squealed when he saw the first crack and helped peel off the shell.

Once Toothless had hatched we couldn't contain our squeals - he is utterly adorable! We were both impressed with how similar he looks to the character in the film and he certainly has the same level of cuteness too.

There are lots of ways to play and engage with Baby Toothless once he's born. You are able to "establish your rider’s bond" with him by touching the top of his head, this will make him purr and make sweet noises in response. You can teach him to fly by holding him and mimicking a flight movement, this makes him roar, his ears wiggle and wings flap.

The fun doesn't stop there - you can also teach him to plasma blast by placing your hand on his tummy. The longer you leave your hand there the more he charges his plasma blast and the more his mouth glows up. Once he's hungry feed him with the fish accessory that's included and he'll make fun crunching and munching noises.
Don't throw away the base of the egg because it doubles up as a place for him to sleep and recoup. You can also rock Baby Toothless back and forth to make him go to sleep.

Noah thinks his new baby dragon is awesome and he's currently displayed proudly in his bedroom. DreamWorks Dragons Hatching Interactive Baby Dragon Toothless is suitable for children from 5 years of age, has an RRP of £59.99 and is available at Smyths and or online at Amazon.
