Casdon Role Play Toys - Review
I thought I'd start the review with the Henry Mop Bucket. Minimal assembly is required here but take note when applying the stickers as I put one on back to front, whoops! It's quite a small toy which is great for parents as it means we can store it away, nice and tidy. Ava, in particular, has taken quite a shine to it, she's always tinkering around, wearing it like a handbag. This week has been so hot so I filled it with a little cold water, sat outside in the sun and she went to town on the garden path and gave it a good clean! It was a great way to keep her cool too. Retailing at around £6.99 online, it's well worth the money. It's a fantastic toy, one which will nurture children's imaginations whilst helping them develop future life skills.
Next, we have the Play Food Set and this was the kids really couldn't wait to open this one! This of course was no surprise, the brightly coloured 44 piece set looks impressive, inviting and very exciting. The box is filled to the brim of different fruits, veg, meat, condiments and cans. I wouldn't say they are the best quality play foods I've ever come across but with a retail price of just £12.00, you really can't complain! I think the Play Food Set is not only great for encouraging role play but it's also a learning resource too. We've play shops and restaurants together but we've also used them to colour sort and have sorted them into different food groups too.
Last but not least we have the Casdon Shopping Trolley with retails at just £14.99. On opening the box I realised that I decided to give the assembly of this toy a miss and wait for my better half to do it. It was the right decision as there was a lot of bits and pieces and it required a screwdriver and hammer. It took Nick around 20 minutes to put together with a few sighs here and there, but he eventually got there! It's quite a sturdy little trolley so it was worth the time it took to put together. Included with the trolley are numerous boxes of play foods which also need to be assembled. There's also two cans of food and two pieces of fruit.
The Trolley is the kids favourite out of the three toys that Casdon sent us to review. They've spent so much time pushing it around and filling it with the groceries that come with it and the pieces from the Food Play Set. When it comes to roleplay Noah tends to be the shopkeeper while Ava is the customer, or should I say, she comes and messes up Noah's shop and then and runs off. It's also doubling up nicely for a buggy for her dolls!
Casdon are the brand to go to when looking for role play toys, toys which nurture kids imaginations and ones which are purse friendly and won't break the bank. Head over to their website to take a look at all the other role play toys that they have available.
4 Budget-Friendly Plumbing Tips
The plumbing of a house or a business is one of the parts that is constructed in parallel with the original construction of the building. Can you imagine your life without being able to enjoy what you still take for granted?
In our time, being able to wash your dishes, clothes, take a bath, and all the daily activities that include the house's plumbing are taken for granted. In order to enjoy these essential amenities, it would be good to make the right choices and the correct management of our facilities.
Why is it necessary to maintain the plumbing?
The water that flows from the pipes of the bathroom's plumbing is also what we use when we want to use the bathroom, the toilet bowl, the sink, and all the electrical appliances inside it, such as the washing machine. A fault in the bathroom plumbing, then, could be a considerable obstacle to the smooth running of our daily lives. Even if the building in which our home or business is housed is new, the everyday use or misuse of plumbing can damage the piping or create areas where dirt and grease from the soap will accumulate and which may become clogged in the future. If any issues arise you need to manage it, and fast - Plumbing services in Chardon are available whenever you need it.
1. Do not tighten the taps too much because their tires will wear out over time and need to be replaced. A tip that many do not know and is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of a faucet, whether it is in the bathroom of your home or in your kitchen. Damage to the faucet hose can lead to a leak that can be quite damaging to your pocket.
Little Live Bizzy Bubs Cute Carrier - Review
We adore Swirlee, she's such a fun little toy and one which I think the kids will enjoy for years to come. There are 7 Bizzy Bubs in total, all of which have their own little personalities and do different things! I think we may need to collect them all.
Ways To Revamp Your Garage For Summer
I think it's about time we looked into better garage storage solutions and that's when The Smarter Garage comes to the rescue. They transform garages into a space you'll love - creating a place that is organised, tidy, and functional. I really recommend taking a look at their website.
First things first, we are going to get in there and recycle or throw away everything that is on it's "last legs" and that we've not used in a couple of years. I think this will free up the majority of the space in there and make the revamping process a lot easier.
Items which have life left in them I plan to donate to local charities such as the RSPCA and Pendleside Hospice. Every couple of months we tend to do this around the house so it's about time that we did the same in the garage too.
Another way to inject some order into the garage, once everything is streamlined is to organise the garage in a more functional way. Before we started using the garage as a storage space we didn't really have set places for items and just placed things where they fit. Car equipment was here there and everywhere, which was a nightmare when it came to trying to find something in particular.

Learning Resources Smart Scoops Math Set - Review
Learning Resources are my go-to brand when I want to buy a fun toy for the kids, one which is entertaining but educational too. My children, like most kids their age, learn best through play so their toys and activity sets are just the ticket.
After changing my mind a couple of times I chose a colour sorting food set from the New Sprouts range for Ava, which I'll be reviewing at a later date. I then let Noah choose which product that he'd like. I showed him lots of different options and after deliberating for a little while he decided to go for the Smart Scoops Math Set. I'll be honest, it wasn't the maths that attracted him to it, it was the ice creams and the prospect of being an "ice cream man!"
On opening, we were both really impressed with the activity set. Just like the other Learning Resources toys that we own, it's made with such quality and you can see that a lot of thought and attention has been put into creating it.
Inside the box are; 4 Colour bowls, 4 Cones, 20 Icecream Scoops (5 of each colour), Fine motor ice cream scooper, 23 Double-sided cards, a Spinner and a lidded container. The Smart Scoops Math Set is a very impressive playset as there are multiple ways that it can be played with. Activities such as creating Colour Patterns, Colour Sorting, Ordering, Counting, Matching Numbers, Sums, Scooping, Role Play and so much more.
There are seven activity suggestions in the instruction book which we found very helpful. The instructions can also be found online which is great to know in case you ever lose them. Noah enjoys each game but his top three activities are below, these are the ones that he plays over and over again.
Lay out the pattern cards. Select one, and say aloud the colour pattern as you take each scoop out of the container (“yellow, green, yellow, green…”). Have the child copy the pattern, stacking the scoops on a cone in the correct order. Then, ask, “Which colour comes next in this pattern?” Have the child stack the scoop that comes next. Continue with other pattern cards.
Order Up
Time for role play! Let the child pretend to be an ice-cream server by filling your scoops?” Or, 3 order. Give a simple counting instruction: “May I have a cone with test the child’s working memory by placing an order based on a colour sequence: “Today I’d like a bowl with one red, one blue, and one green scoop.” Can the child remember and re-create your exact order? Use the pattern cards for inspiration!
When Life Gives You Lemons
Just in case you were wondering, the dress is from The Cambridge Teepee Company and the bow is from Petal & Grace. If you like the look of the dress and bow then definitely pop over, have a look at their other pieces and perhaps give their page a follow!
It's the little things in life which make you the happiest. Watching my daughter run free through the flowers, with a beaming smile and without a care in the world, that's sheer bliss and I soaked up every moment.
