January Degustabox - Review

It's the third week of the month, this means it's time for our monthly Degustabox review! We've been reviewing them for quite a while now and even after all this time we are so excited when we see the delivery man bringing it to our door. We've never had a disappointing box, every single one of them has been a delight. I'd be more than happy with the subscription if I was a paying customer.

January is known for new years resolutions, people trying to diet, lose weight, become healthier and more active. I think that Degustabox tried to run with this theme this month as a lot of their items were healthy treats.
Keep reading to see the images, product list and pricing of everything that was included.

As you can see see there was a lot of healthy options in January's box, which is just what we need for the new year. I liked how there was so much variety in items from fruit squash and breakfast bars through to noodles and tuna. There was something for everyone and something for every occasion whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack.

Nick really enjoyed both the two Pulsin products as they were something he'd not tried before, he said he'd buy both again. Noah loved the Juicy Red Berry Frusli Bars, they were great to eat in the morning with a slice of toast, some fruit and a yogurt. They are also ideal for a mid morning snack as they are full of wholegrain oats which will keep you satisfied and full of energy. I was a big fan of the Wild Planet Albacore tuna steaks. The company is ranked #1 in the US by Greenpeace for their sustainability and the Tuna are pole and line caught only. At £3.49 per can it's the best tinned tuna you'll ever have, it's worth every penny!

So many items could have made our star product this month but I put it down to a vote (out of three) and the Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme Snack Pack won! Having family who live in America we are no stranger when it comes to American snacks and foods. I was a fan of the snack pack because the little chocolate bars are the perfect size for an after nursery treat for Noah and small enough for me to enjoy without feeling guilty!

December Degustabox - Review

At the end of December we received our monthly Degustabox but with the madness of Christmas and New Year I'm only just getting round to publishing the review. This however gave us plenty of time to tuck into all the different products and they were all thoroughly enjoyed throughout Christmas and New Years. The November Degustabox was named the "Christmas" themed box so I did wonder how they'd follow on from with the December but as usual it was full of fantastic products, ideal for the festive period. Keep reading to see the images, product list and pricing of everything that was included.

Total: £32.77

The December box was fantastic, they never disappoint! It was filled to the brim with fantastic products, brands which were new to us and familiar favourites too. I thought that the choice of different drinks in this months box was perfect for this time of year. The non alcoholic beer, fruit juice, squash and green tea were all ideal for detoxing after all the naughty food and drink we've been indulging in around Christmas and New Years!

Food wise the selection of nuts, peas, rye cakes and potato puffs were great to nibble on and I brought some of them out for our Christmas party. The Taking the Pea Crunchy Peas were so popular, people commented on how they'd never tried anything like them before and that they were going to have to buy a couple of packets themselves! They were so moreish! Noah absolutely devoured the Pop Chips Galactic Puffs and was very impressed that they were Star Wars snacks! He called them his Star Wars crisps!

It was a little hard to choose our favourite product this month but in the end I decided to go or the Robinson's Fruit Creations squash as it's something we've all been able to enjoy. Robinson's has been a household favourite for years but these new juices contain twice the fruit and are so delicious and refreshing! It also contains no added sugar, perfect if you like to add a dash to your little ones water.

We always look forward to the arrival of our monthly Degustabox, we like to sit and open it up together and it's always so exciting to see what's inside! Noah also really enjoys to decide which product is for who and it's quite amusing to watch him explain why all the chocolate is for him, while Nick and I are gifted the canned fish or the dried pasta! This months box was another themed box, the Christmas box!

Degustabox never disappoint but I was absolutely blown away with November's box! As always there was a little something for everyone. It was full of brands that we already know and and love and brands which are now new favourites too! It was full to the brim of snacks and treats that can be enjoyed during the Christmas period, it really was the perfect Christmas box.

Everything inside this months box has already been eaten or drank, or we are saving for Christmas day. As mentioned above there really was something for everyone. I was delighted to see Propercorn Perfectly Sweet Popcorn as it's my favourite popcorn and low in calories, it was a nice guilt free treat to enjoy on a Saturday night. Nick on the other hand devoured
The English Provender Caramelised Red Onion Chutney, Filippo Berio Rio Mare Tuna in Olive Oil and Cadbury Picnic Bites in a matter of days. He also said both drinks were super refreshing and that he'd buy those again. Last but not least Noah had his eye on the Super Sours Jelly Beans and Ava (with her three peggies!) managed to enjoy a couple of Ryvita Multigrain Rye Cakes!

Our favourite item this month, our star product was the Weetabix Additions. I've always loved Weetabix, there's something about a warm bowl on a cold winter morning, or even as supper at night. The new flavours they've released are so tasty and lovely to have for a bit of a change. We'll definetely be buying Weetabix Additions again.

October Degustabox - Review

Another month has been and gone, which of course brings us to our monthly Degustabox review. As mentioned on my previous posts, we always look forward to the arrival of our box because in all our time reviewing them we've never ever been disappointed. We like to sit and open it up together to discover all the different products which are inside. Noah has actually made a game out of it and he'll decide which item is for who and which one's are to share, which is quite amusing because all the goodies are usually for him! Octobers Month had a slight Halloween theme, so without futher delay here's what was inside.

2. Pechkeks Misfortune Cookies
 - £1.50
3.

12. HIPPEAS Organic Chickpea Puffs - £2.29
13. Lee Kum Kee Sauces - x2 £0.85p

Total: £21.30

As always there really was a little something for everyone! This can always be counted on when it comes to Degustabox as they always provide such a variety of different products. Some brands were already firm favourites of ours like Heinz and Kabuto but there was also brands which were new to us like Michel et Augustin and Nuttvia. Occasionally, there's an odd item here and there which we won't or don't use (which we pass on to a family member or friend) but this month we've used everything!

Our favourite item this month, our star product has got to be the Michel et Augustin Super Cookies! They blew us away! They are large cookies that taste quite buttery, with large choc chips and a melted chocolate hazelnut middle. They don't call them super cookies for nothing, they were utterly divine and I'm already on the look out to buy more!

September Degustabox - Review

Another month has been and gone and that means it's time for our monthly Degustabox review, though a little bit later than usual. On the arrival of our Degustabox we did our usual, we set it to one side for when Nick came home from work as we all like to open it up together. That may sound a bit silly to some but we do make little traditions out of things and this is probably tradition number 55! Last month we had a back to school themed box and it was one of our favourite's so far, so much so it's going to be a hard one to beat! Without further ado, here is what was inside September's Degustabox.

1. Green & Black's Velvet Edition Chocolate - £1.99
2. Latin American Kitchen by Santa Maria Rice
 - £1.85
3.
Latin American Kitchen by Santa Maria Sauce - £1.85
4. Nestle Cheerios Oat Crisp - £2.49
5. Knorr Concentrated Stock - £2.20

6. Virtue Energy Water - x2 £1.35

7. San Miguel Gluten Free - £2.00
8. Mentos Mint Mix Sharing Pouch - £1.19

9. Dream Rice Quinoa Drink - £1.60

10. Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna Steaks - £3.49

11. Seriously Spreadable Squares Cheese (voucher) - £1.75
12. Green's Egg Custard Mix - 0.69p
13. Miso Ramen Noodle Kit - £1.50 (not included on product sheet so not included in total price!)

Total: £23.80

As you can see there's quite the array of different products in this months box, you can tell there wasn't a theme as everything did seem a bit random, not that it's a bad thing. The box was great but compared to last months delight it left me wanting a little bit more, maybe they spoilt us too much last month! That being said most products we were able to use and used quite quickly, by Nick mostly. He drank all the drinks, ate the chocolate and he took the Latin American packs to work for his lunch. Noah and I on the other hand enjoyed tucking into the cereal as it was one we'd not tried before and it was quite nice to have it with the Dream Rice Quinoa milk which was also in this months box.

This leads me to our star product from this months box, a new little feature I'll be adding to our monthly Degustabox reviews. Without a doubt it was the Cheerios Oat Crisp cereal which went down a storm with everyone in the family, even with 7 month old Ava! The box is loaded with delicious crunchy flakes made from whole grain oats mixed with crispy cheerios, perfect in the morning with ice cold milk. As a family of cereal lovers it didn't last long and the box was gone within a matter of days, we've been out to buy it again since! It's a new family favourite.

August Degustabox - Review

Another month brings another Degustabox delivery to our door and I'm so excited to share what was inside this months box. I was so impressed with last months July box as I always tend to be but somehow this months was even better! Degustabox try to run with a different theme every month which I really like the idea of as it adds some extra excitement when discovering whats inside. Recently we've had a Summer box, BBQ box, Valentines box and this month's is aptly named the Back to School box.

What was inside August's Degustabox
:

1. Seabrook Crisps Multipack - £1.00

11. Cadbury Dairy Milk Big Taste Toffee Whole Nut - £0.65
12. Cadbury Curlywurly Squirlies - £1.99

Total: £19.95

As you can see there are a handful of products which would be ideal for back to school and in your child's lunchbox. Noah goes back to nursery full time next week so the Pick Up biscuits, JellySqueeze and Seabrook crisps will be a nice treat along side his sandwiches, tomatoes, cheese and fruit. I'm quite apprehensive about him not eating his lunch while he's there as he'll be so distracted so I think that having these added treats will actually encourage him to sit down and eat.

Don't worry, they've not forgotten about us grown ups! Nick and I are excited to try everything else which is inside the box, especially the noodles and light bite crisps because neither of us have tried them before! I'm so impressed with this months box, even more so than last month which I didn't think was possible!

As the month draws to a close it's time for our monthly Degustabox review. As mentioned in my previous posts the arrival of our Degustabox at the end of the month is a little highlight to our week, it's so exciting to sit down and open the box together as there's always a product suitable for each one of us.

We've been reviewing Degustabox for quite some time now and I can tell you that in all the time we've been receiving our box we've never ever been disappointed with the contents. Personally I think that's really impressive and on that note I don't hesitate in recommending Degustabox to my friends, family and blog readers.

11. Thor Non Alcoholic Drinks - x2 (These would be in the non alcoholic box instead of the wine)

July's box is named the Summer Box and you can see why, there's so many different products which are ideal for Summer. Ryvita thins, quinoa, and fruit juice for a picnic at the park and a bottle of wine with a bowl of olives in the evening once the kids are in bed.

I think this box is one of my favourites to date because so many of the products were ideal for me being on Slimming World. The Blossom Hill Spritz although not very Slimming World friendly was enjoyed last Saturday night. It was my first tipple in months and it was so light and refreshing. I'll be buying that again that's for sure! Noah was excited to see some sweeties in the box and I was more than happy for him to have a couple straight away with them being reduced sugar. Nick on the other hand loved the quinoa and mustard, not together though, that'd be a bit strange!

The BBQ box went down a storm because as mentioned previously there was a little something for every member of the family. Inside the box were brands that we already know and love but also a plethora of brands that I'd never heard of before. This is one of the reasons why I love Degustabox so much, I'm always introduced to new and exciting products! Noah eyed up the Haribo in a matter of seconds and he's been having a couple every other day to avoid a total sugar overload. My partner Nick really enjoyed the granola and cider and the shortbread was a hit with me, although I could have easily eaten the entire pack! I was really pleased with this months box.

April Degustabox - Review

A new month brings another Degustabox delivery. As mentioned in my previous reviews we always look forward to our monthly subscription, it's always so exciting to see the delivery man carry it to our door. We like sitting down as a family and opening the box together and my three year old always has the duty of pulling each item out and telling us what it is, though sometimes he doesn't have a clue and will just say what he thinks it is!

Here's what was inside April's Degustabox:

1. Seabrook Lattice Crisps - £1.99
2. POLO Sugar Free Pot - £1.49
3. CELIA Organic Lager - £2.49
4. Garofalo Whole Wheat Penne Pasta - £2.19

7. Doisy & Dam's Chocolate - £1.75
8. Nothing But Snacks - x2 £1.20
9. Whitworths Full Of Super - £1.50
10. ViPnuts - £1.25

As always this months box was full of an array of different and exciting products, both brands that were totally new to me and others which were already firm favourites. The first products which were devoured was the Dorset Cereal and Whitworths Full Of Super Macaroons as they were ideal for a quick and easy breakfast. The Garofalo pasta was also great for a healthier take on our usual sausage pasta bake which surprisingly went down a storm with all the family. Again another fantastic box which contained a little something for everyone.

March Degustabox - Review

Another month means another Degustabox delivery. We look forward to receiving our box every month and really enjoy sitting down as a family and opening it together, discovering all the different products inside. It's really exciting! In all the time we've been reviewing them we've never had a disappointing box and I think that's worth a mention as it must be extremely difficult for them to balance a box to keep someone so happy each and every month. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to everyone. I'd recommend Degustabox in a heartbeat.

Here's what was inside March's Degustabox:

1. Heinz Seriously Good Sauces - £1.99
2. Pipers Crisps - £2.00
3. Naturelly Jelly Juice - x2 £1.19

4. Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo - x2 £1.49

5. Maldon Smoked Sea Salt Flakes - £1.50

6. Weetabix On The Go - x2 £1.99

7. Whitworths Cacao Raw Bars - £1.50

8. Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Mylk - £1.89

9. Weston's Cider - x2 £1.80

10. The Jelly Bean Factory Jelly Beans - £1.49

11. £onepounders Chocolate Eclairs - £1.00

We were really delighted with this months box as there was a little something special for everyone to enjoy. The treats were welcomed by myself and my partner as we now have a newborn baby and a three year old so currently running on empty and the sugary pick me up is just what we needed! My partner also really enjoyed the cans of Westons cider which he really enjoyed on a Saturday night and the Weetabix on the go was perfect for him to take to work. My son was happy to see the jelly juice in the box as he was already a big fan of Naturelly, they make the perfect afternoon snack. Last but not least it goes without saying but my favourite product was the Dairy Milk Oreo chocolate, the peanut butter variety! I'm currently on Slimming World so although I can over indulge too much I've been enjoying a piece here and there and it's absolute heaven!
