29th November - 5th December / Week 49

On Sunday the weather was atrocious so we decided to do a spot of Christmas shopping. We visited Gordon Riggs which is a local garden centre who always go all out at Christmas time! We had a good wander around and picked up some new decorations.

Monday saw us opening all our Advent Calenders! So exciting! Our favourites have got to be the WOW toys and gingerbread advent calenders, both are fantastic!

On Tuesday Noah and I had a chill out day where we played, got out the play doh, watched Toy Story etc. These sort of days are amongst my favourites as I'm so lucky to be able to stay home with my son. When Nick got home from work we put the Christmas tree up and decorated the house.

We begun our Elf adventures this week when we started our new tradition with The Elf on the Shelf, which has been so much fun! In other news Noah had an accident on Wednesday where he dropped an unopened can of beans on his toe and cut it right open. I was taken back by the amount of blood and I admit that I panicked! Noah was so upset and I had never seen him cry so much. Thankfully it is on the mend now.

Noah and I had so much fun on Thursday! It was just one of those days were you are just happy and have such a laugh! I brought these chairs in to make Noah a den to play in but he had other ideas and thought it was marvellous standing on them looking at the Christmas tree!

On Friday it was our annual family Christmas light switch on. Noah's Great Grandparents do it every year and it was Noah's turn to do the honours this year. He absolutely loved switching them on and shouted "Wooooow!!" We had a little buffet party and the grown ups had some wine. It was a really lovely night.

Saturday my sister in law (to be) had a great idea on where to take the kids. There was a little Christmas event on at Oswaldtwistle Mills, which isn't far from us. It was £10 per child to get in and there was so much for them to do, arts and crafts, dress up, a sleigh, games and then they visited Santa and got a little Teddy and chocolate lolly at the end. The boys both had such a wonderful time and so did the adults too! What a great day!

I love my festive photo's this week! Have you been up to much lately?
