Baby
The baby is now almost 6 inches long and weighs around 6.7oz. The bones in her body are beginning to harden so vitamin D and calcium is really important at this stage and going forward. Among these first bones to develop is the inner ear so baby girl will be starting to hear my heart beating and tummy growling any time now. She's certainly gotten stronger this week as I'm feeling her kicks and wriggles more. I had my hand on my belly the other night and I felt her kick my hand, it was amazing!
Mummy
Same as last week really as I've been feeling really good. I'm shattered but that's nothing new and is to be expected when growing a tiny human all while looking after a toddler. Emotional wise I feel a lot more level headed which is a relief but I have had anxiety flare ups but I think that's due to Noah starting nursery. I've also had an unwelcome visitor return, Mr Heartburn! I had it really bad with Noah and was prescribed Gaviscon which didn't really help much, hopefully it won't be as relentless this time around. I haven't weighed myself for a few weeks and dread to think how much I've put on. That being said I haven't been eating as bad as I did in my first pregnancy. I'm not craving full fat milk this time either so that's got to count for something, ha ha. Speaking of cravings I still can't get enough oranges! Jaffa oranges, satsumas, clementines, they are tasting like pure heaven at the moment. On the bump front there's no mistaking I'm pregnant now and have I'm starting to see people notice and smile. I still can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by!
See you next week!
See you next week!
Nice that you are considering how little one is developing. Seems like you will be getting plenty of vitamin C, so hopefully you will not develop iron deficiency anaemia. Vitamin C helps with iron absorption. Also some say that vitamin C helps prevent cold. So maybe you will flourish and enjoy your pregnancy. Would think it may well seem to progress quickly for you, given you are kept busy with Noah.
ReplyDeleteNoah will likely enjoy Nursery, as he will have company of other children, a variety of toys, books, games etc. He may have lots to share with you when you return to collect him.

Just noticed design on Noah's pyjamas, really nice. The boys in our family are simply fascinated by Dinosaurs and all things Dinosaur at the moment. Been to a theme park based on Dinosaurs etc. Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents etc delighted to know what will keep them Happy, put a smile on their faces etc. It is nice to see the youngsters having fun.

Exciting times!! Bet Noah is very excited!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at these photos and I really miss being pregnant. I had an easy pregnancy with both of my kites and the birth was easy as well, but we've decided only to have two kids. But I still miss my bump.
