Trolls has got to be one of Noah's favourite films at the moment and his love of Poppy, Branch and Smidge just seems to grow and grow. Just last week we were having a play date and Noah and his best friend would only answer me if I referred to them as Poppy and Branch! When the opportunity came to review the Poppy Styling Head Station I had to apply as I thought it would be something that Noah would really enjoy, and something that's completely different to any of his other toys.
When the Poppy True Colours Styling Head arrived I was really impressed and so was Noah. You could see the quality straight away, it's a solid and well made toy that you know is going to handle a bit of rough and tumble from the kids. It's attractive, brightly coloured and just like the character in the movie but with super cool rainbow coloured hair!
Included with the styling head is Poppy's signature headband, styling comb, four hair ties and four hair clips. All of which can be removed and worn in your little one's hair. I must mention that the hair ties are very tiny so it may be worth grabbing a packet of little bobbles from the shops so then you have a backup if they go missing.

Noah was very excited to start styling and decided to practice combing her hair first. He called out the different colours that he could see in her hair and tried to separate it with the comb, all whilst spiking it up. He then decided to remove her bobble and add a couple of clips. He did need a little help with them as they are a little fiddly but he soon got the hang of them.
The Styling Head has two different types of hair. The hair in the ponytail is quite fluffy and troll like, with some material embedded into it. I presume this is to help it to stick up, but it does make it a bit tricky to comb. Her fringe on the other hand is traditional doll hair which makes it easier to style and gives you more freedom.
When Ava woke from her nap she wanted to get involved too and Noah asked if we could put Poppy's headband on her. This of course made him laugh lots and he's now insisting that I buy her a Poppy costume to go with it! Ava is too young to be able to enjoy Poppy with all the little bits and pieces but she is always giving the styling head big kisses and tries to brush her hair.
The Trolls Poppy True Colours Styling Head Station is suitable for kids age 3+ and retails at very reasonable £24.99. It's brought to you by Flair and is available to buy online and in most good toy stores.

Toy may help to encourage children to brush / comb their own hair. Grooming is something which we want our children to practice and master.as they mature :- Personal Care. Self Care.Independence.
