50 Days Of Christmas With Boots

Christmas is well on the way, there are just over five weeks until the big day and we all know how fast those weeks will fly by. One minute you think you have all the time in the world, then the next minute it's Christmas Eve, and there's still half a dozen gifts left to buy. This year I'm attempting to be a little more organised and plan to do most of my shopping online and weeks in advance because let's face it, shopping with two young children is hard work.

With this in mind, I was delighted when Boots contacted me, asking if I'd like to take part in their 50 Days of Christmas collaboration. They invited me to browse through their wide selection of Christmas gifts and pick out a couple of gifts for the special people in my life. I was so excited to start shopping because I knew it would start my christmas shopping off with a bang!

The most important person in my life, bar my children has got to be my better half Nick, so it was only right to choose a gift for him first. There were so many suggestions on the
Christmas gifts for him section, countless gifts that he would have liked but I decided to go with the FatFace Beanie Gift Set which currently retails at £20.00. Included in the set is a FatFace knitted effect beanie, a 200ml bottle of their Black Pepper, Pimento, and Eucalyptus body wash and a 125ml bottle of Black Pepper, Pimento and Eucalyptus body spray. I can see him really appreciating this practical gift, you can't beat a nice winter hat and some smellies at Christmas.

It was then time to pick something for a very special lady in my life, my Mum. Again, there was so much to choose from, but I wanted to get her something extra special, just like her. The No7 Beauty Collection was just the ticket, containing so many different beauty products that I knew that she'd use and love. In the set you'll find the No7 Stay Perfect trio eyeshadow palette, No7 Stay Perfect trio eyeshadow, No7 Stay Perfect amazing eyes black pencil, No7 Skin Illuminator, No7 Shimmer Palette, No7 High Shine lip gloss, No7 Midnight Lash black mascara, No7 mini eyeshadow brush, and the No7 mini blusher brush. All these products would cost £76 if bought separately, so it's a steal at just £50.00.

My sister emigrated to America a few years ago, so we've not seen each other in a while. The whole family miss her every day, even more so at Christmas time. Although she lives thousands of miles away we make sure to involve her in our festive celebrations by sending her a hamper of goodies to open up on Christmas morning. I chose the Baylis & Harding Beauticology Rockin Robin 4 Piece Bathing Set to send to her as I thought it looked so festive and I think that she'll adore the Christmas scents. The set currently retails at £12.50 and includes a 500ml Frosted Cranberry & Mistletoe Body Wash, 500ml Candy Cane Shower Crème, 100g Iced Snowflake Cookie Boxed Soap and an EVA Body Polisher.
Another gift I chose to add to my sisters Christmas hamper was the Little Something Handcream Duo which retails at just £3.00. This little stocking filler contains the Gold Together Hand Cream and Perfect Moments Hand Cream both in 30ml tubes. Fragranced with notes of Amber, Bergamot and Lemon and Sweet Blossom and Rose.

Last, but certainly not least I picked out the Belgian Biscuits 800g tin for Noah and Ava's Great Grandma. Inside the large Christmas themed tin is a selection of delicious milk, dark and white belgian chocolate biscuits, wafers and cookies. Nan is
partial to a nice biscuit or two and likes to have nibbles at hand for when she has guests so I know they will put a smile on her face. I can also imagine the whole family enjoying a treat or two out of this tin this Christmas day. The Belgian Biscuits tin retails at £14.00 and is another gift in the 3 for 2 Christmas mix and match offer.

What are you buying the special people in your life this year and would you consider gifting any of these Boots products to them?

Petit-Fernand Personalised Bento Box & Water Bottle - Review & Giveaway

Petit-Fernand is a company based in Bordeaux, France, who produce original, fun, practical and easy-to-use products. Their website offers a range of different items, iron-on labels, adhesive labels, bento lunch boxes, and water bottles, all of which can be personalised. A few weeks ago, I was asked if I’d like to review some products from the website and after reading past reviews I snapped up the chance.

Petit-Fernand gave me a voucher code to spend online for the purpose of this review, so I had plenty of time to decide which products to go for. I decided to order two bento box lunch boxes and two isothermal water bottles as they stood out to me the most. Not only did they look fantastic, but I knew that we'd use them all the time, for in the house or on one of our many adventures and days out.

It was easy when it came to deciding which products to choose, but it was so difficult to decide on which design to go for. With 34 different theme's to choose from, there is design for everyone. There are fairies, unicorns, dinosaurs, firemen and so much more. You can then add a name, in the colour and type that you want and choose the colour of the lunchbox itself. I decided to go for a lilac lunch box with fairy design for Ava and a navy lunch box with dinosaur design for Noah.

When the lunchboxes arrived I was blown away, they looked amazing! They were bigger than I envisioned, which is great as my kids are big eaters and like variety. The boxes have a capacity of 1000ml and contain 2 removable small tubs and an intermediate inner box. There’s an ice pack inside the intermediate box which can be placed in the freezer to keep the contents of the lunch box cool for longer. They are also BPA free and are also safe to be put in the dishwasher and microwave.

With the remaining amount on the voucher, I decided to order two water bottles to match the bento boxes. Again, there are lots of different designs, colours, and fonts that you can choose when customising them. Every water bottle is made from high-quality stainless steel, with no BPA, phthalates, lead and no odour or taste. They are double-walled thermo bottles, so they can keep the contents cold or warm for a long period of time and the anti-leak cap will prevent any spillage. Noah and Ava are able to open and drink from their water bottles with ease and have used them every day since they arrived.

The Petit-Fernand personalised bento lunchboxes and the isothermal water bottles retail at £22.00 each, which might seem pricey, but they are worth every penny. Everything is designed and made with the utmost quality, and I can see them lasting for years to come.

Living Arrows #11 - Autumn Leaves And Baby Pumpkins

Pumpkins? Yes, I know that Halloween was almost two weeks ago but I've only just had the chance to upload these pictures. I shot them on Halloween, in the afternoon, while Noah was at school. Ava was dressed in her costume, ready for the Halloween parting in the evening and I had a few mini pumpkins at hand. Everything just seemed to add up, it was a great photo opportunity.

The pumpkins didn't just make a great prop, but they kept Ava occupied whilst I clicked away (usually she'd be running away, halfway down the street!) I loved watching her play with them, she would stack them, knock them over, hide them in the leaves and of course, threw them around a couple of times too! Childhood. It's a wonderful thing.

Personalised Memory Boxes From Made With Love And Sparkle - Review

I'm so sentimental when it comes to my children, just like most parents out there. I cling to everything and anything and really struggle to let anything go. I've saved so many different things since my two were born, from their first outfits and first dummy's, through to locks of their hair and even their crusty old belly buttons. Please tell me that sounds more strange "on paper" and that most parents have done the same?! Haha. As you can imagine over the past couple of years I've collects so much and have been cramming it all into shoe boxes. I needed a better and more permanent storage solution and that's where Made With Love and Sparkle came in.

Made With Love and Sparkle is a website which provides lots of unique gift ideas, all of which can be personalised in many different ways. I was asked if I'd like to choose two products from their website and I decided to go for the unicorn memory box for Ava and the dinosaur memory box for Noah. I loved the simple yet effective artwork, the typography and the sweet verses on them. The verses can personalised, but I liked them so much that I decided not to.

When the memory boxes arrived I was really impressed because they looked even better than they did on the website. They were also larger than I expected, both in depth and overall size, which is great for people like me who have lots to store. The dimensions are 32x32x12cm. However, I was surprised by how light they were, they hardly weigh a thing. This could be a positive if you have lots to put inside it, but it could also mean that they aren't as robust as they could be. I'm sure that they've undergone lots of testing and that they'll be fine, but I will let you know if anything changes. So far so good.

Noah started school in September and brings painting, letters and his work home with him every day and I've amassed quite the collection already. His box is the perfect place to store all his school work and it's nice to be able to keep it all in one place. We've already spent so much time looking through everything together. I've not moved Ava's bits and pieces into hers yet, but we did give her box a little trial run with some of her favourite things, which she ended up thinking was a game! As you can see it can store quite a lot to be able to hold a Hatchimal and a Cabbage Patch Kid.

Made With Love and Sparkle offer a wide range of different memory boxes on their website, all of which can be personalised with names, messages, date of births and so on. They are really decent sized, with cute designs and all close with a little clasp. They retail at £34.95 each and I think they'd make a great gift for any occasion.

Fingerlings Glitter Pandas - Review & Giveaway

Fingerlings became the must-have toy last year and have been all the rage ever since. They sold out everywhere and I remember parents struggling to find any for their little ones, it was crazy! Since the release of the original Fingerlings, they've gone on to release lots of different species, from unicorns and sloths to dinosaurs and dragons! It's exciting to know that the range hasn't stopped there though, as there are a new Fingerlings breed on the block! Pandas!

At the moment there are three different Fingerlings Glitter Pandas to collect. Polly who is pink, Archie who is blue, and Drew who's a traditional looking panda in black and white. Noah was delighted to receive Archie for the purpose of this review, mainly because he has a friend who shares the same name! As you can see he is utterly adorable in different shades of blue, and a big tuft of fluffy white hair. Both kids wanted to smother him in kisses and cuddles as soon as he was out of the packet, and quickly realised they had to take turns!

Fingerlings Glitter Pandas are utterly adorable and tons of fun, a lot like their Fingerlings siblings. They love to be held and to cling onto different things, especially fingers. They respond in lots of different ways, from noise, motion, and touch, making them a very interactive toy. They talk and sing, blink and blow kisses too. They even fall asleep when you rock them gently. Noah likes to make loud sounds to startle Archie, whereas Ava totally mothers him!

Fingerlings Glitter Pandas are suitable for children from 3 years of age, retail at a recommended retail price of £14.99, and are available to buy at Tesco. Now time for the giveaway. For your chance to win a Fingerlings Glitter Panda simply use the Gleam form below! Good luck and don't forget to enter my other blog competitions!
