Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 - Review

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are tiny little critters, waiting inside speckled eggs, waiting to be lovingly hatched by children. They are so much fun to hatch and even more fun to collect. Noah loves collectibles and Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are a firm favourite of his, they are so cute though, we can't resist them.

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles season 3 has been just as popular as the previous seasons, introducing us to over 100 new characters to collect! Noah was delighted to receive some more Hatchimals to review, included in the bundle. Included in our review box was; a Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 1 Pack (RRP £2.99),  a Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 2 Pack and Nest (RRP £4.99), a Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 4 Pack and Bonus (RRP £9.99) and the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 One Dozen Egg pack (RRP £24.99). What's great about these prices is that there's something for every budget, whether it's for a present or a pocket money treat.

Having reviewed Hatchimal CollEGGtibles a couple of times in the past, Noah wanted to hatch them all differently this time. He asked to open all the packs, put the un-hatched eggs together and then crack them one by one. We did this by hand, by rubbing the heart until it changed colour, then by pulling apart the shell. We also used the Hatchimal CollEGGtibles Hatchery Nursery from a previous review (highly recommended) to hatch a couple too.

There's so much delight to be had when it comes to discovering which critters you'll find inside the eggs, and I think that season 3 adds more excitement because each Hatchimal CollEGGtible has a twin, squad or best friend.

A new favourite of ours is the limited edition 'fuzzy' called Shimmering Girreo, who is from Shimmering Sands. He looked so cute, curled up in a ball fast asleep. We discovered him in the two pack with the nest, so it was only right for him to rest up inside it.

The One Dozen Egg Carton comes with 10 eggs, 2 hatched CollEGGtibles and a hard plastic egg carton. It's been very popular with Noah and I also think it's great because the egg carton can be reused. It's the perfect place to store some of Noah's CollEGGtibles.

Our Hatchimals CollEGGtibles collection has now grown thanks to SpinmasterIn total, we had 17 eggs to hatch and we didn't find one dupe! Instead, we discovered 4 sets of twins, a couple of best friends and a multitude of limited edition and rare characters! We even found an ultra rare Petal Deeraloo, who is now our all-time favourite! We hope that there'll be a season 4 (and 5, 6, 7 and 8) so that we can continue to enjoy these fantastic collectibles.

Hatchimals Colleggtibles The Hatchery Nursery - Review

Hatchimals were the must have toy for Christmas last year, the UK went Hatchimal crazy and so many of my friends struggled to get their hands on one for the kids. Thankfully it wasn't on Noah's Christmas list so I didn't have that fight on my hands. The whole Hatchimal craze didn't really interest him. That was until the Hatchimal Colleggtibles came onto the scene!

Noah is a big collector and his favourite things to collect just happen to be little itty bitty toys that come in a blind bag or surprise egg and Hatchimals Colleggtibles tick many of those boxes.

When we were offered the Hatchery Nursery to review I just had to take up the offer and was very excited for it's arrival, it looked great. On opening we both commented on how bright and attractive it looked. It's also very well made and sturdy which is always something I look out for with a play set as Noah can be quite heavy handed. It's also worth noting that this toy doesn't require any assembly or batteries, can you give me a hallelujah!

The Hatchery Nursery is an enchanted forest which makes the perfect place for children to hatch and take care of all their cute Colleggtibles! The first task upon opening was to hatch the exclusive egg which is included in the set and Noah insisted on doing it right away! Usually with Colleggtibles you rub the heart to hatch the egg but with the help of the Hatching Tree which is nestled in the heart of the enchanted forest none of that is necessary

To hatch the egg we placed it in the middle of the flower that's inside the Hatching Tree, then we span the yellow handle and the flower carried the egg up to the top of the trunk! Once at the top of the tree the purple petals opened up and the egg was all cracked ready for hatching! We then peeled off the remaining shell and our brand new Colleggtible was born and what a cutie he is!

There's a whopping 35 places to play and display all your Hatchimal Colleggtibles! They can swing off tree hooks, be fed at the feeding station, sleep in the cribs or relax underneath the streamer shower. There's slides and swings too for those Colleggtibles that would like to play!

It's a shame that with so many places to display your Colleggtibles that there's only one which comes with the set. It would be better to have a couple more included as it really limits play if you've not got a collection already, just one lonely Hatchimal Colleggtible.

The Hatchery Nursery would make a great Christmas present this year, for Colleggtibles collectors new and old. It's suitable from 5+ years and retails at most leading toy stores for £29.99.

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 - Review

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are tiny adorable creatures that are hidden inside eggs, waiting to be hatched. Hold, hatch and play, they are utterly adorable and so much fun to collect. We love surprise toys and Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are a favourite of ours. We've been lucky enough to collaborate with them a couple of times and last year we reviewed the fantastic Hatchimal Hatchery Nursery. This is a great playset for children who love them just as much as we do.

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles have now returned with series 3, bringing over 100 new characters to collect, enough to hatch a whole new world. We were delighted when we were sent some products from the new range.

Our review bundle included;
Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 - 1 Pack - RRP: £2.99,
Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 - 2 Pack - RRP: £4.99, Hatchimals CollEGGtibles 2-Pack Cloud Egg Carton - RRP: £4.99 and the Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 – 4 Pack - RRP: £9.99. With prices starting at £2.99 there's a pack for every occasion or for a pocket money treat.

Just like series 1 and 2 the new series of Hatchimals CollEGGtibles are presented in colourful speckled eggs and are waiting for someone to help them to hatch. To hatch them you simply rub the heart on the egg and wait for it to change colour, once it's changed from purple to pink it's ready to hatch. Then all you need to do is give the egg a little squeeze to make the first crack. It's so exciting to see which CollEGGtible will be waiting inside.

"Hatch Friends Forever!" is the tagline for season 3 as there's a brand new theme running throughout the series. Each new Hatchimal CollEGGtible has a best friend, squad or a twin! This new element adds even more excitement when it comes to hatching the eggs as you may find not one but two critters!

It didn't take long for us to find out first set of twins, pink Penguala twins! I think both Noah and I squealed in delight when we saw that twins were nestled up inside! Twin's are a little bit smaller than regular Hatchimal CollEGGtibles, so they need extra care not be lost. They have little wobbly heads and have special poses and gestures which make them the cutest CollEGGtibles ever!

Our favourite from all that we hatched has got to be Petal Alligator from Petal Path, who is part of a squad. Noah's decided that she's the Mummy of all the rest of the CollEGGtibles and she's the one in charge! We had no dupes in our season 3 bundle, a lovely mix of characters with two sets of twins and two squad members too!
