The (Not Big Or Fat) Quiz Of The Year!

What was the highlight of 2016?
2016 has been a great year for us but if I'm to name just one highlight it has to be falling pregnant with baby number two and every moment since then, the scans and finding out the gender in particular. It's been the year of the baby!

Name one thing you are most likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time?
I'll associate 2016 with the bump as I've been pregnant for he majority of the year.

Sum up 2016 in one word.
Emotional. 2016 has seen some wondrous highs for me with our family holiday, the pregnancy and Noah turning three but there have also been some lows with the passing of my Nanna earlier on in the year. I'm still coming to terms with it and there are days in which my mind tries to hide it from me but then I remember all over again and it hits me like a ton of bricks.

Name one pearl of wisdom from 2016 that you will carry with you through 2017.

Do you have any new year resolutions?
I give myself goals rather than resolutions. I have the typical bog standard losing the baby weight and working on my fitness resolution. Another being that we want to continue investing in our home and we've now saved up enough to extend into the attic so that's the next job on the cards.

How are you seeing in the new year?
We saw in the new year rather lazily by relaxing after a very busy Christmas period. I have to say it was rather lovely just staying in with Nick, Noah, the bump and the cats and just pigging out all night! I think it's been a good four or five years since we've had a wild New Years!

What would you most like to do in 2017?
To bring my daughter into the world safe and sound. Anything else is just a bonus but as mentioned earlier we really want to extend into the attic so that Noah can have a bigger bedroom and the baby can have his little room.

What are your main goals for 2017?
To continue to make lots of happy memories with my family and adjust from our family of three turning into an awesome foursome! I'm so excited to see what 2017 brings as we have so much planned already!

Thanks to Sian from Quite Frankly She Said for the tag, it was such a fun post to write. I'm tagging Beth from Twinderelmo, Rebecca from Mum Of A Premature Baby, Jess from Tantrums To Smiles, Robyn from Cold Cuppa Club and Cassie from Lily's Little Learners

  2. Yes, seems like 2017 will be a year of development for you, your family and your home. Noah being at Nursery, he is likely to be becoming more social and part of the Community. Your extended family are likely to take Delight in the children, their adventures etc.

  4. Sum up 2016 in one word :- Change.

Seems there was much change particularly in Politics in 2016. Yet they leave us with a wait and see in regards to Brexit etc. America which it seems is the country which is often copied, or the one to watch to see how our future is to be :- in regards to fashion, technology, culture :- misuse of drugs, considerations in regards to dealing with unemployed, underclass etc, Rich and Super Rich, etc, etc. Will have Donald Trump as President, just what that will lead to no one knows.

Though Trump is not president yet, seems like he is influencing America's future via Twitter etc. He has through his Business Experience / Pracice influenced Ford Motors who now plan a large Company in America ( rather than outwith, which had been their original plan/ aim). So means now that Employment and Finances will be kept within America. Maybe this is part of his wanting to make America Great again. Britain needs to be made Great again, as much Business wise is owned outwith Britain. Margaret Thatcher ( previous Prime Minister) accommodation owned "off shore" yet she lived there as a home till she moved into the Ritz Hotel. Ritz :- Do the owners pay tax to Britain? I think the media has stated No. Why? Also how does that impact on Britain, British Taxpayers and British services funded via taxes? Seems much needs reviewed with Britain. With a new Prime Minister, and another female Prime Minister just what is in store for 2017 and beyond?

  7. Seeing in 2017, attended a Hogmanay Theatre show. Quietly at home, some refreshments for at the Bells. Others seem to have Celebrated quietly at home, maybe particular Generations and / or age groups. Cooler weather, home is cosy rather than going outdoors.

  8. Main Goals for 2017

I'd like to feel more settled and secure. Some leisure and recreation time would be nice. As I spent many years working, considering and caring for others, shift work etc. Work/ Life Balance is something that

wasn't considered in the past, and I was brought up in a family with a strong work ethic. So to have some time to relax, recharge etc is Beneficial. Also nice to be treated, whether Christmas gift of voucher for lunch, theatre tickets etc :- Much Appreciated, and of Great Benefit.

  9. Most Like to do in 2017

Enjoy a life of Quality. Which probably most if not all of us would want. Nice, healthy, Delicious food. We need food, and also enjoy food. I do like to eat out at times. As it is a nice treat. Also do like Good Entertainments, so depends what is on offer, what we can afford etc. Also I am very fond of animals, so we are likely to visit parks that have animal corners etc. As my Mum hadn't been well enough for sometime to get outdoors, but recently managed a brief outing :- Would be nice to take her with us to park visits in milder weather. She also loves animals. Very much missing dogs, as she had had pet dogs over the years, but unfortunately due to her health, no pet dog now. So we all admire other dogs, chat to dog owners and their dogs etc. Kind of pet therapy for us. We also enjoy seeing and listening to budgies, canaries etc at park. So some leisure and recreation as well as refreshments and good company would be much appreciated throughout 2017. Best Wishes to yourself and family etc.
