Introducing the HiPP Buddies & the HiPP Organic's range of Sweet & Savoury Pouches - Review

Last year, just before we started to wean Ava we were invited to be part of the HiPP Moments Team, it was perfect timing! My first post was back in September and all about Ava's first tastes and the HiPP Organic's stage 1 savoury jars. The second post was published earlier this month in which we reviewed the HiPP Organic's stage 2 jars. We were sent some lovely personalised goodies too.

For our third and final project we were introduced to the HiPP Buddies characters and HiPP Organic's new baby food pouches. You can already find the range of sweet pouches in store but the savoury ones are brand new! We also received a couple of the HiPP Buddies story books which I've loved reading to both children.

The HiPP Buddies are a group of hard working and busy animal friends, who all share one goal and that is to make the yummiest, organic pouches out there! Each character has their own task on the HiPP farm, from picking the fruit and vegetables, to mashing them, stirring them and then finally filling up the pouches ready for our little ones to enjoy. What is not to love about the HiPP Buddies?!

We hadn't tried these pouches before so I was very excited to see what Ava would think of them. They arrived early one morning when Ava was still in her sleep suit and waiting for her breakfast. I just happened to check inside the hamper and saw that there were a couple of the sweet pouches which were ideal for breakfast. She absolutely demolished the first pouch in a matter of seconds. As you can see by the photo below, it was thoroughly enjoyed! Their 100% fruit pouches are a great way for little ones to enjoy up to 2 of their 5 a day. They would also go well with a hearty breakfast or as a little treat after their lunch or dinner.

HiPP Organic ensure that their savoury pouches actually taste savoury which I think is great because when it comes to weaning I always offer vegetable and savoury tastes first, especially in the beginning. I think that in doing so it has helped to prevent them from developing a preference to sweeter tastes and one of the reasons why I think they aren't fussy eaters.

As part of the third project I was also asked to let Ava "take over for the day!" At 10 months old there's not much taking over that she can manage but she gave it a good shot! We first let her choose her own lunch out of two of the savoury HiPP pouches. She had a choice of squash and chicken pasta bake or vegetable and chicken risotto with peas. She grabbed the risotto pouch first and before I could even warm it a little for her she was beckoning me to open it and wanted to gobble it up right away. The HiPP Buddies packaging seemed to catch her eye and she seemed to really enjoy the taste and texture of the pouch. I have to mention that it smelt utterly delicious!

I then let her help me choose her outfit for the day, but she grabbed three pairs of trousers and a pair of socks so I thought I'd better intervene and help the poor girl, ha ha. It was then time for a story and she narrowed it down to two favourites. She decided to go for "That's not my Pirate" Arrrrr!

The HiPP Organic pouches are light, re-sealable and unbreakable, perfect for at home and on the go! If you are planning on buying some HiPP Organic jars or pouches then please use this money off coupon which has been created especially for the readers of the blog. 1. They sound perfect for Mollie, the stories sound lovely too, I bet Ava had fun being the boss for the day, although three pairs of trousers may have been tricky, Mollie already rules the roost here so she would love to be the boss for the day xxx

  6. Pouches seem really convenient. Good variety. I agree with yourself, keen to get children, as well as adults to get good nutrition by providing savoury meal prior to any treat of a dessert, pudding, fruit, etc.
