Wondering :- High pollen count. Is the fact floral plants being grown (probably in greenhouses. Also in large numbers) elsewhere. Then planted outdoor in displays, planters, hanging baskets, etc :- Is leading to high pollen count/s, and ill health due to Hayfever, allergies, etc.
If so, then as well as individuals having to deal with / somehow manage symptoms from Hayfever, allergies, etc. This can impact on others, as Parents trying to deal with / manage children. Folks trying to manage work commitments, family commitments, symptoms, as well as everyday activities of Daily Living. Probably also impacts on Health Services :- Doctors, GP ( General Practitioners) practices, etc.
How do people find out how Best to manage condition, if / when it is a new condition for them :- Doctor, Pharmacist, GP practice, Practice Nurse, Booklets, Leaflets, Internet, etc, etc. Are there any Peer Support Groups??
The two children look so happy and healthy in the photo. We British seem to have a culture of lavishing attention, love and praise, etc on babies and children. Yet now we are being told that everyone should Reach, be allowed, encouraged, assisted / supported to Reach their Potential. Is so, then we need to pay attention to all :- The Whole Lifespan. From Cradle to Grave.
Recently heard from a tv programme that the elderly are at Risk of B12 ( Vitamin) Deficiency. Unfortunately as otherwise occupied, I did not catch all the information. Though I was surprised at Care of the Elderly be mentioned in such a manner on tv. Yet it is information which is likely needed by the public. As there has been a rise in the aged population. We are encouraged to provide or seek Care at Home, Community Care. How can this be done without accurate up to date information, advice, assistance, support.
There is lots of information advice, support, guidance, etc :- Pre - Pregnancy, Pregnancy, Baby Care, Child Care. Which may be more needed at the other side of lifespan. As the public once again take on the Caring role for those who are age-ing, becoming frail, etc.
Previous generations Cared from Cradle to Grave. Larger family size, closer communities, etc :- Could mean support, advice, expertise ( through practice, experience) would be nearby. Now we have smaller family size, communities have been broken up :- Through redevelopment, changes within society / social hierarchies, longer working hours, commuting to work, shift work, Individualism.
So we need Theory to Practice ( Knowledge, Skills, Experience). Up to Date Research. Aids and Adaptions. Health and Safety Knowledge, Guidance. Assistance from Health Services. As we aim to provide Quality of Life for all individuals.
A place where we need to be constantly Aware, Alert, and Careful. Good to encourage children to be Careful, and make use of all their Senses. Can be good to Explore, but it is a Learning Experience. Parents will look out for their children, as well as share knowledge and experience, in an attempt to keep everyone safe.
Sight, Sound, Sense of Touch, Sense of Smell can all provide information. Taste is another of our senses :- One which an Older Experienced Adventurer may use. Getting into the great outdoors, likely instills a sense / attitude of Respectfulness and Cautiousness. As being slow and patient can allow for more information being gained before exploring further into the woods, etc. Always wise to be Prepared.
Climbing trees can be fun. Best done when Responsible parent around and available. Allow child to build up skills and confidence. Whilst accident / s prevented by wise parent advising child appropriately, and assisting if required.

ReplyDeleteNoah's stick :- Looks a bit like a fishing rod. Perhaps that is an outdoor activity / hobby he would like to pursue.
