The Perfect Father's Day TV Binge & Competition

If you know me then you'll know all about my love of TV shows. There's nothing I enjoy more than discovering a series that I haven't seen before and even more so if there are a few seasons to catch up on! I've spent so many hours, curled up on my sofa in the evening, totally enthralled in a gripping show.

I often find myself watching them on my own as Nick isn't into TV shows as much as I am. I'm always encouraging him to watch them with me, so that we can binge-watch together but it's easier said than done! He can be picky about what he watches and is quite limited to the genre's that he enjoys. However, there has been a couple which we've enjoyed together such as; The Walking Dead, Six Feet Under and most recently, Ozark.
With this in mind, in collaboration with Fox, I've chosen three series that I think Nick and many other Dad's out there would enjoy watching this Father's Day.

1. Vikings
"The world of the Vikings is brought to life through the journey of Ragnar Lothbrok, the first Viking to emerge from Norse legend and onto the pages of history - a man on the edge of myth."
I'm already a huge fan of Vikings. It's one of my favourite series of all time and that's saying something as I've watched a hell of a lot of shows. It's loosely based on Viking history and Mythology (there's a fine line between the two) and is based on the legend that is, Ragnar Lothbrok. From the first couple of minutes, I was gripped. Everything from the way it's filmed, through to the cast, the set, through to the storylines is just perfection. It's one not to be missed and has got to be my first suggestion to binge watch this Father's Day.

2. The X Files
"
Two FBI agents, Fox Mulder the believer and Dana Scully the sceptic, investigate the strange and unexplained, while hidden forces work to impede their efforts."
My parents watched the original back when I was a child and the opening music still gives me the creeps. It was such an original concept back in the day and earned quite the following of loyal fans. When it was revealed that it was making a come back in 2016 the internet blew up! This is a series that I know that Nick would really enjoy. We plan on watching it from the very beginning which means there are over 200 episodes to catch up on!

3. Fargo
"Various chronicles of deception, intrigue and murder in and around frozen Minnesota. Yet all of these tales mysteriously lead back one way or another to Fargo, North Dakota."
This is a show which has been recommended to us on so many different occasions and has received some great reviews. Described as a crime, drama, thriller I can imagine it being something that we'd both enjoy watching together this Father's Day. I think my Dad would like this one too!
