PJ Masks Super Moon Adventure Toys - Review

Being such huge PJ Masks fans we were delighted when we were sent a big bundle of new and existing PJ Masks toys to review. We were invited to not only review the toys but to host a PJ Masks themed party for Noah too. I was delighted when I was accepted for this opportunity because I knew it would make the perfect after-school surprise for Noah and his friends.

The first item we decided to play with was the Mission Control HQ Playset, a new release for Autumn, which is suitable from 3 years and retails at £49.99. Included with this set is the HQ itself, a Romeo figure and a Catboy figure. The PJ Masks Mission Control HQ Playset is such a show stopper! It starts as the famous PJ Masks totem pole which is seen in the tv show, then it opens up to reveal three stories to enjoy and explore, each with interactive points to engage with.

The Mission Control HQ Playset encourages children to use their imagination and prompts them to create their own stories with the PJ Masks. It’s not just a place for the PJ Masks to hang out, as there’s so much more to do and explore. There's a secret trap door and a lightening bolt cage, both of which are ideal for capturing villains like Romeo and Luna Girl. Behind the lightening bolt cage is a light and sound control panel which plays phrases and music from the show. At the side of the HQ is a corkscrew pole which is great for Catboy as he can use it to spin on down and set off for to fight. When the HQ is under attack defend it using the Gekko shield or dart machines. The scroll through mission tablet is just what Owlette needs to choose their next mission. The Mission Control HQ Playset comes with a Romeo and Catboy figure, however, more are available to purchase separately.

Next, we have the Super Moon Adventure HQ Rocket, which is also suitable from 3 years of age and retails at £49.99. Included with this set is the HQ Rocket, Gekko figure and Gekko space rover vehicle. The PJ Masks Super Moon Adventure HQ Rocket is new for the season, inspired heavily by the show featuring lots of exciting lights and sounds. There are three colour coded seats inside the cockpit, one for each PJ Mask, with Gekko in the driving seat.

When the PJ Masks are ready to fly through space the ramp and legs can be folded up and closed, which makes take off quick and easy with the build in handle. Once the HQ Rocket has landed, simply press the button and the ramp will pop out, allowing Gekko to ride on out on his Space Rover vehicle! This is a great addition to any existing PJ Masks toy collection.

The Deluxe Figure Set is the set which really stood out to Noah as he really loves figurines! I do too as they are a great way to inspire imagination and encourage role play. This has been out for a while now, is suitable for children from 3 years and retails at £34.99. It’s a 16 piece set, which features all the main characters; Catboy, Gekko, Owlette, Luna Girl, Romeo, Night Ninja, three stackable Ninjalinos and more. The hero and villain figure stands 7.5cm, have moveable arms and can be used in both the Mission Control HQ Playset and Super Moon Adventure HQ Rocket.

The Speed Booster Vehicles are new for Autumn and retail at £13.99 each. There’s one for each PJ Mask character and each vehicle comes with a figure too, These are great for additional play with PJ Masks playsets like the HQ and Rocket, but are just as fun on their own. The kids enjoy having races with them, to see which hero will win. They also make fabulous getaway cars!

Also, new for Autumn are the Super Moon Adventure Figure and accessory set Super Moon Adventure Space Rover and Figure Assortments, both of which retail at £9.99 – a fantastic price point for a pocket money treat or for a stocking filler. They are themed on the new Super Moon Adventure theme and the new episodes of the show. The Super Moon Adventure Figure and accessory sets come with an interactive spacesuit and helmet and are articulated which makes role play so much more realistic. The PJ Masks Super Moon Adventure Rover set each come with a figure, vehicle and themed accessory.

The PJ Masks toy collection is brought to you by Flair and are availble to buy now, online or in stores such as Smyths, Amazon and Very. There's something for every budget and would all make fantastic gifts for Christmas. If I was to recommend particular products for Christmas it would have to be the Mission Control HQ because it’s the one my children seem to be the most taken by.

Join UK Mums between 1-3pm on the 17th October for the #PJMasksToys twitter party! We'll be discussing the new range, while throwing a PJ Masks party and giving away lots of toys! Make sure to join us!
- We were sent these products for the purpose of this review, however, all opinions are my own.

On The Eve Of Your First Day At School

Well, Noah. I can't quite believe I'm writing this, but you start school tomorrow! It's true when they say that the days are long, but the years are short. I remember when you were born, thinking that we had such a long time together before I had to "send you off to school" but wow, the years have flown by!

As fast as these four and a half years have been, we've packed so much into them and have taken full advantage of having you at home, or in nursery. You've been abroad three times, once to mainland Spain, twice to Majorca. You've been to Butlins and Bluestone, Forest Holidays and Center Parcs. You've been to London, to Wales, to the Lake District, to Blackpool, and more.

It's a very surreal feeling for me as your mother, knowing what is ahead of you and although we've had six weeks to come to terms with the new chapter in your childhood, it still doesn't feel real. I don't think it will until you are in your uniform and I'm walking you to school tomorrow afternoon.

Talking about the six week holidays, I've been preparing you for school as much as I can during your time off, and with the help of the PJ Masks, no less! A couple of weeks ago we were sent a big bundle of goodies, to help you feel prepared and confident enough for your big day. I've written about a couple of the products on my social media pages (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) so make sure to check them out if you'd like to learn more about them and have a nosey at what we received. The PJ Masks First Writing Book, in particular, has been a godsend, with it being wipeable it's given you a new found confidence when it comes to writing.

Noah, you are a proper little chap now, with endless energy, charisma and personality. You're a wonderful son and an amazing big brother. I'm so proud of the little boy that you've become. You're exactly how I envisioned you to be, a little carbon copy of your Daddy. What more could I ask for?

So, that leaves me to sign off for the night. You're tucked up in bed, dreaming away, ready for the next stage in your life. Please ignore the wobble in my lip, and the tears in my eyes tomorrow, but, if you have those too, that's okay. Remember that even though you are starting school, you're still my baby and whenever your eyes well up, or your lip wobbles, I'll always be there for a kiss and a cuddle.

PJ Masks Romeos Lab Playset - Review & Competition

PJ Masks has got to be one of our favourite children's TV shows. There's just something about those pint size, PJ wearing superheros that have us tuning in at every given opportunity. With being such big fans of the show, we've love the toys too and were so excited when we were given the chance to review the new PJ Masks Romeo's Lab Playset. I made the mistake of telling Noah that he was going to be reviewing this and he asked for updates every single morning, and every time I picked him up from nursery. When it arrived he
was so excited yet waited patiently as I got everything out of the box and ready for him. This did take some time too, bless him!

Once opened we were really impressed with the playset, it really has the wow factor! Romeo's lab is on wheels and once inside there are two levels of play to discover. Included with the set is a light and sounds control panel, a
rolling lab charger, working crane, laser launcher, robot, set of three tools and of course a Romeo figurine.

Our favourite feature has got to be the light and sound control panel as it's the perfect place for Romeo to create his next plan of action. The kids enjoy pressing the buttons and hearing all the different sounds and phrases from the famous characters. Another great feature is the laser launcher which can be set up ready for the PJ Masks to attack. The three little tools are a great addition but keep an eye on them as they'll be very easy to lose.

What else is great about this play set is that additional PJ Masks toys can be used with it too. For example, a few months ago we reviewed the PJ Masks Turbo Blast Racers and these are perfect additions to go with it. With these additions, I watched Noah catch Gekko in the crane and then Cat Boy came to the rescue! Once defeated Romeo packed up his lab, closed it all up and drove off. The lab was on the move and Romeo was making a break for it!

We're really impressed with the Romeo's Lab Playset! It's such a fantastic quality toy, one which has really kept Noah and his friends busy and entertained for hours on end. It's suitable from 3 years+ due to the small parts, is available at Argos and retails at £49.99. This might sound pricey but if I'd had paid that price I'd be really happy it, it's well worth the money.

PJ Masks Series 2 & Our Exclusive Viewing Party

There's a couple of children's shows that I don't just grit my teeth and tolerate but enjoy just as much as my kids! PJ Masks is one of them, my favourite actually. I'll happily cuddle up on the sofa with Noah and watch an episode with him. We've watched the first series so many times, so much so that we know the words in some places!

You can imagine my delight when I was told that the action packed adventures of Cat Boy, Gekko and Owelette are back on the 28th of March, for series 2! Not only that but I was invited to host my own exclusive home viewing party for the kids. During the party we would be able to watch the first two episodes of series 2 before they air, and we received a box full of PJ Masks goodies too.

We were sent a big box of branded products; a Gekko character 3d mask, an art and creativity set, a glow in the dark puzzle, an inflatable chair, a Cat Boy bedding set, a stamp and colour set, PJ Masks blind bag, and party wear (banner, plates, cups, balloons, invites, table cover and napkins!) All of which are available on Amazon. You should have seen Noah's face when we opened the box! It was priceless and the Gekko mask (RRP: £9.99) went on straight away and he's dropping hints that we need the other two too.

The PJ Masks glow in the dark puzzle (RRP: £7.99) was out the box in minutes as Noah insisted on doing it right away. With it being a 60 piece puzzle it took us quite some time and once it was complete he was so proud of himself! He actually asked to put it on his wall, not sure how we can do that without sticking it all together though, ha ha.

Another firm favourite has got to be the inflatable chair (RRP: £9.99) which I bribed my better half to blow up, as it took quite some effort. It's the perfect chair to sit and relax in ready for the new series and i ideal for every PJ Masks fan out there. The Cat Boy bedding set (RRP: £25.93) is also a must have and is now Noah's favourite bedding!

The Carry Along Art Case (RRP: £7.99) and the Sticker Set (RRP: 4.99) were thoroughly enjoyed during our PJ Masks screening party and Noah may have gotten a little stamp happy as he decided to decorate his hand with them. I know these will be a god send during half term too, they'll keep him very busy that's for sure.

After we had played and done some crafting it was time to sit down with some snacks and enjoy the screening. The first two episodes of series 2 are called Moonfizzle Balls and Soccer Ninjalinos and both had us glued to the screen! We cannot wait to watch more of the series and we just know it'll be as popular as the first.

The eagerly anticipated new series launches on Disney Junior at 4.30pm on Wednesday 28th March. Tune in every following Wednesday at 4.45pm to see the brand-new episodes.
