Mummy & Me - April

It's that time of the month, Mummy & Me time!

April saw Noah and I spending lots of time outdoors come rain or shine. We had lots of one on one time and took lots and lots of selfie's! Out of all the photo's we took this month I just had to choose this one because for once Noah is smiling instead of being silly or ignoring the camera! Dark circles and crows feet as side, I quite like this photo of the munchkin and I.

Nicola... Life Through My Eyes

Mummy & Me - March

Mummy & Me is now one year old, it's been a year since Nicola over at Life Through My Eyes created this fantastic linky, which has quickly become a favourite of mine. I've taken part every month and it's so wonderful to be able to look back at them all.

It's quiet poetic that our first Mummy & Me post was taken on a family holiday in Bluestone Wales and one year later our photo was taken on another family holiday, at Sherwood Pines. Here is my Mummy & Me photo's for March and I can safely say it's one of my all time favourite photo's.

Nicola... Life Through My Eyes

Mummy & Me - March

This year I made a point of joining in with new linky's as I have always enjoyed them but never really stuck at them before. I already take part in Project 365, Little Loves, My Sunday Photo, Cloth Nappy Love and now I have come across another!

My good friend Nicola from Life Through My Eyes has created a brand new linky called Mummy and Me. I love taking photo's just as much as the next Mummy blogger so the idea behind this linky is right up my street! A photo of myself and Noah every month of the year! It will be great to see how much he changes and probably how I remain the same, ha ha.

Here is our first Mummy & Me entry, March 2015.

I took this photo while we were on our holiday at Bluestone. Noah was rather excited as we were about to visit Folly Farm! I look a little tired but traveling miles and miles by car will do that to you, nothing a coffee won't fix!

See you next month!

Project 365 - Week 13 - 13/52

Week 13 and what a week it has been! We spent most of the week on our first family holiday at Bluestone in Wales. It was an opportunity that came about through the blog and I can't wait to share my review with you! We had a blast!

March 22nd - 28th / Week 13

81
I spent all of Sunday packing for our first holiday away. I was so flustered trying to remember everything all while making sure I didn't mess up the house too much in the process. My Mum took Noah to Blackpool for the afternoon so he didn't have to endure a day of sorting and packing!

82
Monday was the start of our holiday, the long 5 hour drive to Wales. We worried that Noah would struggle being in the car for so long but he was an angel. He napped, had snacks, sang, dance, watched the iPad all whilst sitting next to his Mummy in his car seat. It was great when we finally arrived at the lodge!

83
Our first full day in Wales was took Noah to soft play where he met up with other blogger babies. They had a little play date and took a sensory class together, it was adorable watching them interact with one another. We then went on a huge nature trail through the woods and walked down to Camp Smokey which was so surreal.

84
Wednesday we ventured out of Bluestone National Park and visited Folly Farm. We had the most amazing time and I can't wait to let you all know what we thought of the place, review coming soon. We then visited the Tafern for dinner and then called it a night.

85
Thursday we finally had the chance to go swimming at The Blue Lagoon and visited soft play again. This was our last full day at Bluestone, it flew by way too quickly.

86
Friday is was time to leave Wales. The holiday flew by and it was sad to go. We had an excruciating 6 hour drive home as we were stuck in traffic on many occasions. It was good to get home and sleep in my own bed again.

87
On Saturday both Nick and Noah were unwell and rested a lot. I made the most of the time by doing all the holiday laundry and catching up on a lot of blogging. When Noah perked up a little we sat and did some Easter crafts together which was nice.

We've had a fantastic week! Did you?

Wales, nature trails and blogger friends - 13/52 - #littleloves

Another week, another round of little loves!

Read
We have just come back from out first family holiday, a four day break in Wales. I took advantage of all that travel and holiday time ahead of us by indulging in a book or two. On the drive there I finished reading Red for Revenge which is a Galaxy Quick Read. It was okay but it didn't really appeal to me and was rather bog standard and a bit boring to be honest!

On the drive home I started reading an ebook I bought a few months ago called Saving Wishes. So far the story line has my attention but it's on the cusp of either becoming a real page turner or turning into a pile of old tripe! I will have to let you know!

Watched
You all must know by now how much I love my American TV shows but this week I have watched none. I haven't watched TV at all actually. Being on our outdoorsy holiday we just wanted to spend as much time outside in the fresh air. We spent most of our holiday exploring the Welsh countryside, at soft play, sensory class, the adventure centre, the zoo, at swimming or reading. It's been so refreshing not to be glued to a TV or laptop screen. I've really enjoyed the down time.

Wore

Frumpy clothes to keep me warm. We have been very fortunate on our break when it comes to the weather. It has been warm and sunny but there was the occasion when the sun hid behind the clouds and it became chilly.

Heard
Lots of different accents! I absolutely adore the Welsh accent and their overall demeanor, they are so welcoming and friendly.

Made
We made many miles on foot this week. We've been on many nature trails and have probably walked more in the past four days than we do in a month! We've really enjoyed it and intend to go on more nature walks as a family.

And lastly
On our break, I met up with a dozen blogger friends who were all visiting Bluestone at the same time as us. I was so happy that I finally got to meet my bump buddy and one of my best blogger friends, Shaz from
A Pinch of Shaz! We followed one another through pregnancy and now the kids are toddlers it was great to finally meet for a natter whilst we watched them play together. I think we really clicked and I hope to meet up again one day!

Project 365 - Week 12 - 12/52

Can you believe we are on week 12 already? This year is flying by! Minus the trip to the hospital we have had a very busy and lovely week! Here is our week 12 of Project 365.

March 15th - 21st / Week 12

74

Happy Mother's Day to me! I woke up to Noah walking into my room with a card and chocolates in hand. What better way to start the day? I was given some flowers too and Nick brought me breakfast in bed. Bliss.

75

Monday, play group day! We met up with friends and Noah had a blast as usual.

76

Tuesday was my nephews 7th birthday and here are the three cousins after their meal. Noah idolises the pair of them.

77

Thursday it was my Mum's birthday and she came over for the day. We went for a lovely walk and I took her out for lunch. We had such a lovely afternoon. I ended up having to take Noah to A&E that night though as he had a very bad wheeze and was struggling to breathe. My poor baby. He is fine now though.

78

After being in the hospital until 3am the previous night it was lovely to see Noah smiley and worry free. He napped a lot on Thursday as he must of been catching up on sleep.

79

Noah and I watched the eclipse from the front of our house. We did see glimpses between the clouds but I couldn't capture it on camera.

80

Saturday we spent the day shopping for last minute bits for our trip to Wales on Monday. Noah loves walking around and exploring when we go to the shops and always manages to walk the opposite way. We then spent the rest of the day at Noah's Great Grandparents house.

Hospitals, holidays and birthdays - 12/52 - #littleloves

Read
Most of my reading this week has revolved around children's books. We've picked up a dozen new books this week and Noah has really enjoyed discovering all the new characters. Most of the time he hasn't got the attention span to sit and finish a book and will toddle off to find something else to do. When he does this I have to admit that I sit there and finish the book myself. I have to know what happens in these new books don't you know!

Watched
Same as last week as I am still catching up where I left off with Revenge. They have such long series which are 22 episodes long! This is great when you are obsessed with a show!

Noah and I also watched the eclipse yesterday. I couldn't get a photo of it but we did see it pop through the clouds every now and again.

Wore
I bought a new dress and top from ASOS a few days ago. Unfortunately the dress doesn't fit as it was too small but I have decided to keep it in hope that it encourages me to lose weight!

I also bought Nick some new swim shorts for our trip to Bluestone and I bought Noah some new shoes too. It's been quite the week for online retail therapy!

Heard
My sons voice. This week he has found his voice more than ever. He is now trying to sing and tries to read when looking through a book. Is there anything sweeter than the sound of your child's voice?

Made
Noah and I made a lovely Birthday Card for my Mum. He loves to draw but doesn't press on hard enough to use crayons so sometimes we do have to use pen. I want to start doing more arts and crafts with Noah because at the moment he isn't a fan of messy time and I want him to enjoy it and not cringe at the mess on his hands.

And lastly
We are off to Pembrokeshire in Wales on Monday! This will be our first family holiday (even if it is just for days and in the UK!) We are ill again and Noah did have a trip to the hospital on Wednesday night but we aren't letting that stop us. We are determined to get away!

Project 365 - Week 11 - 11/52

Here we are again, another week of 365. We've had a great week this week, getting out and about even in the pouring down rain. Here are some of the photo's from my week, all of Noah! I think I should rename my version to Noah 365!

March 8th - 14th / Week 11

67
Sunday funday! I spent most the day cooking, cleaning and blogging whilst Noah spent the afternoon with his Nanna.

68
We started the week off with a trip to play group. It was a bit of a dramatic morning! Once we finally got to play group Noah had done a poo so I had to change him. He would lay down to be changed so I had to try and change him whilst he was standing which was so hard work! Poo was going everywhere and he was trying to walk about. I was getting flustered and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse the fire alarm goes off! I then had to try and put his nappy on quickly whilst being evacuated out of the building! Thankfully after all that we had a lovely morning at group. Noah was so independent (which isn't like him) and I didn't know what to do with myself. He was being really good with the other babies and toddlers and loved playing with all the play foods. When the session ended we had the soft play room to ourselves, it was so much fun.

69
How could I resist taking a photo of Noah sleeping. Here he is snuggling up to Burt who we made at Build a Bear last weekend.

70
Noah's swimsuit arrived for our trip to Bluestone next week. I had my eye on this little Finding Nemo number for months and I could not resist trying it on him. It's the cutest thing  have ever seen.

71
I took a set of photo's of Noah on Thursday as he turned 16 months old and I couldn't help but just stare at this photo. Where did my baby go? He is looking so grown up.

72
Friday afternoon's Daddy finishes work early so we decided to go shopping. Here is what Noah thinks about shopping, the face says it all.

73
Saturday was action packed. We went to the park, for a walk, to soft play and went shopping too. Noah had a blast as per usual. I love our family time at the weekends.

Bears, bums and baking - 11/52 - #littleloves

Read
I bought Noah a couple of new books last week so we've been reading a lot those. Where, Oh Where is Huggle Buggle Bear is a big hit and it does become quite the tongue twister! I do hope to start reading more myself but at the moment I am too hooked on my TV shows!

Watched

Well you must know me by now, I do love a good TV show. This week I have picked up where I left off with Revenge and I don't know why I stopped watching it in the first place. It's such a fantastic and unique show that really keeps me on my toes.

Wore
I wore a dress this week! Shock horror. Other than that I have been mainly in my usual comfort clothes. Noah has been showing both his Dad and I up on the trend scale! We attended a family party last Saturday and Noah totally worked the geek chic look!

Heard
Bum bum! Yes, Noah has learnt a new word this week and he can't help but say it over and over again. His vocabulary is really coming on at the moment and he tries to repeat everything that you say to him.

Made
I recently took part in a blogger challenge with Knorr
I was sent a huge hamper full of the award winning Knorr flavour pots, lots of ingredients both fresh and packet and a shopping voucher. Once it arrived it was then time to come up with a recipe! The first meal I made was paprika sausage casserole and it went down a treat.

And lastly
It's Mothers Day on Sunday and it will be my second! I'm so excited for the day! We haven't planned anything just yet, we are probably just going to go with the flow and see where the day takes us! Have you made plans?
