A frog, a train and a butterfly - 20/52 - #littleloves

Read
Again, I have failed when it comes to reading my book but that's not the case with Noah's. We read together often and Noah has taken a liking to his "That's not my.." books again recently. Today I bought him the Frog edition to add to his ever expanding collection. I think it's his new favourite as he can't stop laughing when I read it to him.

He also adores his personalised In The Night Garden book which I reviewed here.

Watched
I've watched way too much TV this week with The Following, Mistresses and Revenge on my to watch list. There is nothing like a binge watch when the little one has gone to bed, it is my guilty pleasure.

Revenge has now finished forever and I'm glad because I felt like it couldn't go anywhere else now, it was just going round it circles. It was an okay finale but not one to sing home about. I did shed a tear here and there and I will miss my weekly Nolan fix, what a character! (If you haven't watched it don't look at the photo below, spoiler alert!)

Wore
How crazy has the weather been this week? In the morning it would look drizzly and cold so I would dress appropriately. Then in the afternoon the sun would come out and I would have to get dressed again into something cooler.

Noah has been wearing his new Bumgenius Freetimes as I had a little spending spree and bought half a dozen of them! I think they are my new favourite nappy.

Heard
Noah has discovered Thomas... Need I say more?!

Made

I felt a clear-out was in need this week as the house was getting a little cluttered. Whatever we didn't use I decided to either throwaway, donate or sell. I ended up listing quite a few different items over on eBay and they were bought pretty quickly. I am now looking for the best parcel delivery as I found it to be cheaper online and I do have a lot to send.

And lastly
I posted on social media a couple of weeks ago that a chrysalis had appeared in my porch. I am a lover of all creatures so this of course really excited me. I decided to leave it where it was because I didn't want to risk damaging it and it was safe where it was.

Fast forward a two weeks and he finally emerged. I did a little research and it turns out he is a Speckled Wood butterfly and his markings are beautiful. I waited hours for his wings to dry before I released him outside. Hope he is okay out there!

New words, Winnie the Pooh and Cousinly love - 19/52 - #littleloves

Read
I'm still supposed to be reading Divergent but yet again I have had zero time to read. I keep telling myself that I am going to be in bed with my iPad before 11pm but in reality I'm still downstairs pottering about until the early hours. There is literally not enough hours in the day.

Watched
You know me and my love of American TV shows. This week I started a new show called Mistresses and it's exactly as you probably imagining it to be. It's a show about middle aged women who are all in totally different types of relationships. One is married, one is promiscuous, one is a widow and the other was having an affair with a married man. The show follows the life and events of these four very different women and although the acting is terrible and the plot is predictable I can't seem to stop watching!

Wore
Boring, boring, frumpy clothes. I don't know where the sun has gone. Please tell me Summer isn't over already?!

Noah on the other hand well he's been wearing something rather cute. Here he is, Noah the Pooh!

Heard
This section is turning into a Noah's new word section! Don't blame me though because there is nothing sweeter than hearing your child's voice, especially when they are learning new words. Noah's new word this week is
Baby which he pronounces "Baybeeeee!" Baby is actually the name of one of our cats so now he can say both cats names, Teddy and Baby.

Made
I made it to the 10lb mark when it comes to my weight loss! Hurray! So that is 10lb in 6 weeks. I could of done much better but it's a start. Need to keep chipping away at those lbs.

And lastly
Look at this photo! This is Noah and his cousin Tristan. Although there is a 6 year age gap they sure do have a bond. Noah thinks Tris is the best thing since sliced bread and finds everything that he does hilarious.

Cars, Trains and a Princess - 18/52 - #littleloves

Read
I am still reading Divergent but haven't gotten very far. I'm staying up way too late to read and keep kicking myself for it.

Noah and I have been enjoying reading Grow Your Own which was a recent buy of ours. It's all about a city boy who goes and spends Summer in the countryside with his Gran. She teaches him how to grow fruit and veg and it's just such a charming tale, fantastic illustration too.

Watched
I finished watching Bloodline a few days ago. Wow, I am so impressed with this Netflix original as it's so unique and such an emotional rollercoaster. Although I finished watching it a couple of days ago I am still reeling over the series finale. I cannot wait for series two.

Wore
It's been a bit colder this week and unfortunately we've had to dig out the coats and jumpers again, brrr. I hope the sun returns soon.

Noah has been getting a lot of wear out of his new nappies this week. How cute is this Bongo Bat Reusable Cloth Nappy from Baba+Boo? Nananananananananana bat bum!

Heard
"Brmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!" Noah has started making noises when pushing around his cars and trains. He seemed to pick it up out of the blue and when he did it for the first time in front of my Mum and I we both squealed, super cute!

Made
Noah and I took part in a Nestle Cereal Challenge a couple of days ago (the post will be live soon) and we had lots of fun with the arts supplies we were sent. It's easier said than done with a giddy toddler but we did manage to make a caterpillar!

And lastly

The royal baby has been born and it's a girl! Congratulations William and Kate! I'm currently watching the news and the world is awaiting the first appearance of the baby Princess.

Totsbots have released a special edition nappy to celebrate the special occasion. Introducing the Royal Wave! (It's sold out already!)

Who else is now extremely broody?!

Real nappy week, sunshine and netflix - 17/52 - #littleloves

Read
I'm still reading Divergent but I haven't got very far into into it yet. I keep losing track of the time and it's always way too late to read very far. I really need to make more time for it because I loved the film so much.

Watched
As a member of the Netflix Stream Team I am always having a browse through for new shows and films to watch and I stumbled across a Netflix original show this week, it's called Bloodline. I'm about half way through the series now and it's been really gripping but in a slow and tender way, if that makes sense. I can't wait to see how everything is going to turn out.

Wore
It's been scorching hot and that meant I was able to wear dresses without a jacket or a cardigan, it's been lovely. I have still been wearing tights and leggings though because I don't want to frighten the whole of Lancashire with my bright white legs!

Noah has been enjoying the sun too and has been slathered with factor 50 every single day. I love seeing him in his little shorts and tshirts with his skinny little arms and legs on show.

Heard
"All of us deserve the right to be loved for who we are" - Bruce Jenner

I have just finished watching the Bruce Jenner interview where he bravely announced to the world that he is a woman. This quote in particular really tugged at my heart strings and I am in total awe of him. I hope his actions and announcement gives courage to others who feel the same way.

Made
I made a little progress with organising the house, if that counts for something? Ever since the move and the renovation everything has been up in the air and nothing really has a place just yet. The house is somewhat organised but there are things that have been irritating me and one of those were the bags and bags of Noah's old clothes that I just stashed away in the closet. On Friday I decided to sort through it all and put everything into size order and I felt so emotional looking at all his teeny tiny clothes, he's huge now!

And lastly
This week is Real Nappy Week, in case you didn't know! It's been my first and it's been so much fun taking part in all the offers, competitions and general cloth nappy celebrations!

Divergent, an 80th Birthday and Michelin Stars - 16/52 - #littleloves

Another week, another little loves! I can't believe we are at week 16 already! 16 weeks into 2015! Madness.

Read
I gave up reading the book I mentioned last week, not by a fault of it's own but because I bought the Divergent Series. After watching the film last weekend I just had to buy the books! I've just started reading the first installment and I'm only a few chapters in.

Watched
As I mentioned above I finally got round to watching Divergent and I really, really enjoyed it. It was a bit cheesy in places but it was great.

I also watched the very last episode of Justified. As a rule I am never really happy with finale's. I think they are so hard to get right and it's impossible to please everyone but Justified's ending was pretty much perfect. Justified isn't a very well known TV show in this country but I couldn't recommend it enough.

Wore
I would like to say I've worn something really trendy this week but I haven't! I've mainly been in leggings with my hair in a bun! Maybe when I have lost a bit of weight I might start dressing a little better, ha ha.

Noah on the other hand dressed very suave for a party we attended this week!

Heard
"We dug coal together." The final quote in one of my favourite shows, another nod to Justified. It's an end of an era!

Made
Again lots of home cooked and Slimming World friendly meals such as Chilli, Spaghetti Bolognese, Roast Dinner, Pasta etc etc. Nothing terribly exciting.

And lastly
It was Noah's Great Nan's 80th birthday on Friday so on Thursday we went out for a meal to celebrate the occasion. We ended up going to a Michelin Star restaurant and I sampled some of the most incredible and the strangest food I have ever tasted! I also had a full bottle of Pinot Grigo too so it's safe to say that I totally went off plan when it came to Slimming World! Worth it though!

Spring time, exploring and the great outdoors - 15/52 - #littleloves

Read
I'm finally getting the time to read again and this makes me feel good. I've read a couple of books these past few weeks but none of them have been anything to remember. I've just started a book called "Throwaway" and I'm not sure about it really.

I want to find a book that is going to give me goosebumps and leave me speechless! Do you have any suggestions?

Watched
Now I am up to date with Revenge I have picked up where I left off with Justified. I love the Southern feel to Justified. The first few seasons were incredible but I've not really been enjoying the last series which is such a shame. I am hoping that these last couple of episodes will change my mind because it's the very last season! Come on Raylan, I want a happy ending for you!

Wore
I've been wearing dresses this week because the weather has been glorious! I feel very uncomfortable and self conscious wearing them though because I'm not happy about my weight. Hopefully I can stick to Slimming World this time around because I really need to shift this weight!

I have been able to dress Noah in short sleeved t'shirts and shorts the last couple of days and it's so cute seeing him toddle around with his sun hat on.

Heard
Mama, mama, mama, mama, all the time! It's Noah's favourite word and if I take my eyes off him for one second he calls my name, mama! Melts my heart every time though.

Made
Slimming World friendly meals! My favourite this week was Chilli and Spaghetti Bolognese. I also love popping some grapes and a Muller Light into the freezer, the perfect syn free treats! Frozen grapes and frozen yogurt! Try it, seriously!

Slightly off topic but I also picked up the new Alpen Light flavours too! I'm not keen on the Jaffa Cake flavour as it has a strange after taste but the Banoffee is nice!

And lastly
I am in love with this weather, it's perfect. Not too hot and certainly not cold!

I have to mention it because we have been taking full advantage of the weather. Noah and I have been outside exploring at least twice a day for the past week and it's been lovely. As soon as Noah has finished his breakfast he brings me his shoes and points to go out!

As you may know we renovated our house last year and our front garden is yet to be updated. The new weather has motivated us to start on it shortly as we really want to make the most of that space!

Stream Team, Slimming World and Saving Wishes - 14/52 - #littleloves

Read
I am still reading a book called Saving Wishes. It's about a young girl in Australia who dreams of escaping her small hometown. It started off good but instead of getting better and better it's just dragging. I think there are other books in this series but I doubt I will be buying those.

Watched
I'm finally up to date with Revenge! I don't know why I stopped watching in the first place but I am glad I picked up where I left off. It's been a whirlwind as ever and I was shocked to find out this season will be the last one!

Wore
I had my extremely long hair cut this week so I have been wearing my hair a lot shorter. I had about 9/10 inches cut off but it still feels really long to me. My hair was down my back but now it's chest level.

Heard

I still can't get enough of this song, a year later. It makes me want to jump on an plane and go on holiday! Such a relaxing song.

Made

I started Slimming World again on Tuesday so I have been making lots of Slimming World friendly meals; Pizza topped chicken, chilli, roast dinner, baked potatoes and more. I was good all week but Friday night I had a little blip and ate some crisps and chocolate, eek.

And lastly
I've been asked to join the Netflix Stream Team! Anyone who knows me will know how perfect this role is to me as I am obsessed with film and TV. I'm honoured to be a part of it and can't wait for what's in store! #StreamTeam

Wales, nature trails and blogger friends - 13/52 - #littleloves

Another week, another round of little loves!

Read
We have just come back from out first family holiday, a four day break in Wales. I took advantage of all that travel and holiday time ahead of us by indulging in a book or two. On the drive there I finished reading Red for Revenge which is a Galaxy Quick Read. It was okay but it didn't really appeal to me and was rather bog standard and a bit boring to be honest!

On the drive home I started reading an ebook I bought a few months ago called Saving Wishes. So far the story line has my attention but it's on the cusp of either becoming a real page turner or turning into a pile of old tripe! I will have to let you know!

Watched
You all must know by now how much I love my American TV shows but this week I have watched none. I haven't watched TV at all actually. Being on our outdoorsy holiday we just wanted to spend as much time outside in the fresh air. We spent most of our holiday exploring the Welsh countryside, at soft play, sensory class, the adventure centre, the zoo, at swimming or reading. It's been so refreshing not to be glued to a TV or laptop screen. I've really enjoyed the down time.

Wore

Frumpy clothes to keep me warm. We have been very fortunate on our break when it comes to the weather. It has been warm and sunny but there was the occasion when the sun hid behind the clouds and it became chilly.

Heard
Lots of different accents! I absolutely adore the Welsh accent and their overall demeanor, they are so welcoming and friendly.

Made
We made many miles on foot this week. We've been on many nature trails and have probably walked more in the past four days than we do in a month! We've really enjoyed it and intend to go on more nature walks as a family.

And lastly
On our break, I met up with a dozen blogger friends who were all visiting Bluestone at the same time as us. I was so happy that I finally got to meet my bump buddy and one of my best blogger friends, Shaz from
A Pinch of Shaz! We followed one another through pregnancy and now the kids are toddlers it was great to finally meet for a natter whilst we watched them play together. I think we really clicked and I hope to meet up again one day!

Hospitals, holidays and birthdays - 12/52 - #littleloves

Read
Most of my reading this week has revolved around children's books. We've picked up a dozen new books this week and Noah has really enjoyed discovering all the new characters. Most of the time he hasn't got the attention span to sit and finish a book and will toddle off to find something else to do. When he does this I have to admit that I sit there and finish the book myself. I have to know what happens in these new books don't you know!

Watched
Same as last week as I am still catching up where I left off with Revenge. They have such long series which are 22 episodes long! This is great when you are obsessed with a show!

Noah and I also watched the eclipse yesterday. I couldn't get a photo of it but we did see it pop through the clouds every now and again.

Wore
I bought a new dress and top from ASOS a few days ago. Unfortunately the dress doesn't fit as it was too small but I have decided to keep it in hope that it encourages me to lose weight!

I also bought Nick some new swim shorts for our trip to Bluestone and I bought Noah some new shoes too. It's been quite the week for online retail therapy!

Heard
My sons voice. This week he has found his voice more than ever. He is now trying to sing and tries to read when looking through a book. Is there anything sweeter than the sound of your child's voice?

Made
Noah and I made a lovely Birthday Card for my Mum. He loves to draw but doesn't press on hard enough to use crayons so sometimes we do have to use pen. I want to start doing more arts and crafts with Noah because at the moment he isn't a fan of messy time and I want him to enjoy it and not cringe at the mess on his hands.

And lastly
We are off to Pembrokeshire in Wales on Monday! This will be our first family holiday (even if it is just for days and in the UK!) We are ill again and Noah did have a trip to the hospital on Wednesday night but we aren't letting that stop us. We are determined to get away!

Bears, bums and baking - 11/52 - #littleloves

Read
I bought Noah a couple of new books last week so we've been reading a lot those. Where, Oh Where is Huggle Buggle Bear is a big hit and it does become quite the tongue twister! I do hope to start reading more myself but at the moment I am too hooked on my TV shows!

Watched

Well you must know me by now, I do love a good TV show. This week I have picked up where I left off with Revenge and I don't know why I stopped watching it in the first place. It's such a fantastic and unique show that really keeps me on my toes.

Wore
I wore a dress this week! Shock horror. Other than that I have been mainly in my usual comfort clothes. Noah has been showing both his Dad and I up on the trend scale! We attended a family party last Saturday and Noah totally worked the geek chic look!

Heard
Bum bum! Yes, Noah has learnt a new word this week and he can't help but say it over and over again. His vocabulary is really coming on at the moment and he tries to repeat everything that you say to him.

Made
I recently took part in a blogger challenge with Knorr
I was sent a huge hamper full of the award winning Knorr flavour pots, lots of ingredients both fresh and packet and a shopping voucher. Once it arrived it was then time to come up with a recipe! The first meal I made was paprika sausage casserole and it went down a treat.

And lastly
It's Mothers Day on Sunday and it will be my second! I'm so excited for the day! We haven't planned anything just yet, we are probably just going to go with the flow and see where the day takes us! Have you made plans?

Anniversaries, flowers and dreaming of cakes - 10/52 - #littleloves

Read
Most of my reads this week have been draft posts and children's stories. I've had such a busy week on the blog front that I have just been rereading emails and posts, I think I have square eyes!

I bought Noah some new books this week and we've been enjoying reading I Love You When together. It's such a lovely short story and the illustration is beautiful.

Watched
I'm at a bit of a loss with my TV shows lately after finishing both Hannibal and Betrayal. I've tried to get into a new few shows but nothing has striked me yet. I've even tried to pick up where I left off with shows like Revenge and Mad Men.

Wore
Nothing remotely interesting and just the same as ever. Noah on the other hand has been rocking his hat's this week and he finally fits into the bundle of 12-18 month t'shirts that I bought from Next months ago! Hurray!

Heard

This week we've been listening to lots of Bruno Mars. How talented is that guy? I could listen to his songs all day, every day. They have a tendency just to cheer you up and give you a boost of energy.

Made
Nothing exciting! Just regular home cooked meals like cottage pie, roast dinner, fajita's. I want to start baking again in the next few weeks as I do miss it. I think I need to take some lessons though as I can only really bake loaf cakes!

And lastly

It was our double anniversary yesterday! Nick and I have been together for 7 years and it's been 2 whole years since we found out we were expecting. The 5th March 2013 was one of my most memorable and happiest days of my life. Seeing that red line appear on the pregnancy test changed my life forever. I had never been so happy, not until my son was born. Happy happy memories!
